You get your purchase receipt there? I’m not talking about Apple’s newsletter and ads, just their purchase receipts. I receive those only on the email address that is my Apple ID, not my @icloud email
I am referring to emails received from apple regarding feedback assistant submissions.

You can’t remove it because ALL Apple IDs are given a free iCloud email. Whether you choose to use it or not is your choice
Actually, that’s not completely true. You’re not automatically given a free iCloud email. When you register/sign up for your first Apple ID you're asked to put in an email address which can be anything you’d like as gmail, and that is that... but if you want to then you can alternatively choose to create an icloud email instead of using an existing email of your choice.. I had my gmail for almost a decade until I was stupid enough to take the offer to create an iCloud email for my Apple ID, and that’s how I got stuck with it as an alias after switching back to gmail as my primary email

If you aren't using the iCloud account and have moved all your mail back to gmail, you won't see any hint of the alias unless you go to appleID.apple.com. If is bothering you to the 10th degree that you can't delete an alias you don't use or see otherwise, I would say try and focus on something more important. The only way to stop seeing that insignificant alias checkbox on said site, is to create a new Apple ID.

It’s also shows up on my phone/iPad/Mac when I go into my iCloud settings.. and let’s not use the term “focus on something more important” cause this is a tech forum where we discuss iPhones, iPad, laptops, iOS, which is all materialistic. We all know what is the most important thing in life in relationships, but this is a forum about tech. So let’s not go there, ok

Same here. The additional problem being I am receiving Apple feedback assistant mails on the alias mail ID instead of the main Apple ID email address.

At the iCloud email website set up forwarding to whatever email address you want…and feel free to ask for solutions to issues like that. No need to suffer.

If only the notifications badge would sync between all devices, run faster when sending attachments and having a better ui I might stay with iCloud email since I’m being spammed with bitcoins on my gmail
