View attachment 728398 Nah, the iPhone X rivals the Galaxy S6.
These stupid comparisons always make me laugh. Created by people who think a spec sheet is everything.

Indeed, nothing rivals the iPhone X right now, its rivals came out 2years ago.Nothing rivals the iPhone X right now.
BTW, the S8 is thicker than the iPhone X so the S8 must be inferior to the S6?
No, that’s not likely. It’ll likely still have a chin and forehead.

Nothing rivals the iPhone X right now? How so? The iPhone 8 is as good of a phone. The Galaxy line has as good of screens and cameras. The pixel line has better software, services, AI, and cameras. iPhone X has a ton of rivals and each one has at least one superior feature.Nothing rivals the iPhone X right now.

You're right about one thing: Apple's price gouging is unparalleled and unrivaled.

Chin and Forehead is better than having a nice notch ruin the display.
It’s the whole package.
It says a lot when you have to gather various phones to beat different aspects of 1 phone.
,
I prefer the notch with face ID vs a chin + forehead with no functionality.
Nothing says complete package like required premium fees to get quick charge, no headphone jack, and a protruding camera. But at least we have aniemojis.
I don't care about quick charge, missing headphone jack, or the protruding camera.
I care about Face ID and the phone working consistently and seamlessly with my ecosystem. My experience with iPhones is that it works the same all day every day for the life of the product. These are the things that actually matter to me.
Then you don't care about a complete package.
What I want in a phone isn't the same as what you want. Get it? I don't care about the kitchen sink. I want features that work for me that actually work.
So having a headphone jack is a kitchen sink? Damn, didn't know a flip-phone with a headphone jack took a kitchen sink approach. With iOS' 11 fair share of bugs on the 8/8+, it may not even work well on the X at launch. Btw, quick charging and wireless charging were highly touted newer features in the 2017 iPhones. You're paying a premium for things you don't even use? Might as well stick with an older iPhone.
You have to prefer it you have no choice, you have to prefer having a constant gap in your screen that ruins videos and webs browsing. It’s the whole package.

What I'm saying is I don't care about a spec sheet checklist. Android fans do, I don't. To me, a headphone jack, protruding camera, and wireless charging is trivial. Some people prefer Android, some prefer iOS. I prefer iOS and if you think a spec sheet would get me to change my usage, you're crazy.
You have to prefer it you have no choice, you have to prefer having a constant gap in your screen that ruins videos and webs browsing.
Actually the forehead does have functionality in majority of phones, and so does the chin, as they allow one to rest their thumbs there no to mention the FF Camera, Proximity sensors etc etc... But hey buddy, tell yourself anything and everything, as you have to love that awful notch
Thanks for a good laugh!
By that logic, the iPhone 8 is a better phone for a better price. It’s the whole package.

But headphone jacks, protruding cameras, wireless charging, and quick charging aren't spec sheet stuffers.... They're hardware concerns. No headphone jacks means having newer adapters. Protruding cameras means Apple can get a bit complacent with its hardware design. Wireless charging is a modern phone feature that even cheaper phones offer. Quick charging means charging your phone for less. Being so dismissive of it means you're playing into Apple's hands: a customer who is extremely loyal and will not hold them accountable or ask of anything better.
You have to prefer it you have no choice, you have to prefer having a constant gap in your screen that ruins videos and webs browsing.

Also, everyone needs to learn the definition of the term "rivals"
Oh dear so the screen is not fully utilized when watching video? So you essentially get an even smaller display when watching video? That's a shame. What was your OP? A spec sheet. Good try. I asked competitors for years for something better and I never got it. Ditched Android and Windows years ago.
Videos play without the notch by default. For web browsing, the notch is a non issue and I get more vertical space.
Your logic is flawed, the 8 has a functional chin, other phones with chins don't.
But your argument is still iPhone 8 plus is a better phone in terms of value than iPhone X? Thanks for clarifying. I would agree.Your logic is flawed, the 8 has a functional chin, other phones with chins don't.

I said complete package... Headphone jacks are needed in a complete package.

So either way, with the X you get a smaller display when you watch videos, that's a crap one bud. What's the point.Uh...all non 16:9 phones does letter boxing for 16:9 videos. The notch does get in the way of you zoom in. Personally, I never zoom videos anyway.
Your definition of a complete package is different than mine. That’s quite evident by your spec sheet post.
I’m not sure why you’re so hung up on my needs/purchasing decisions.
Im saying I prefer the iPhone X’s design over a non functional chin.
Don't get me wrong: the iPhone X is the best iPhone, but it may be among the worst for video consumption. And the black background is the only thing making the iPhone X look good in the last picture. Here are your options with the iPhone X video viewing, there just doesn't seem to be a nice way of getting a proper undisturbed video, either it has the notch or endless black bars. You also don't even get Browser tabs in landscape like you do in the iPhone 8 Plus.
This iPhone X is shaping up to be more of a iPhone 8-Sort-Of-Plus-But-Not-Really
