On the 15th even if there is no MBP update will you still buy?

I defiantly will. I've been waiting too long already, If there isn't anything new on the 15th. Screw it.

I'm gonna laugh when nothing comes out on the 15th, you buy a MBP, and something comes out on the 22nd or the 29th (because that's probably what's going to happen).

Why would you laugh?

And It's not like by buying before an update I'll be missing out on anything amazing.

What is the most amazing thing that is going to happen? a 200 MHZ processor upgrade?

Maby I should just wait until MW09 before I buy then.

Because not having a computer isn't as bad as buying one that will be slightly obsolete in who knows when.

The Macbook/Pros are updated every six months. No matter when you buy, you will never have the newest model for more than six months. If you're afraid of ever having something other than the latest thing, you should never buy a computer again.

You'd be surprised at how many people make such posts in complete seriousness. You might have been "joking", but a lot of people are terrified of having anything other than whatever happens to be king of the hill at the moment.

Besides that, it's pretty lame to make a silly post and claim "SARCASM!" in effort to keep from looking silly afterward.

Nope, there simply is no need. I've just bought my MBP last Summer and will not replace it at least until after my AppleCare has expired. That's in 3 years time.

My topic was more directed to the people that have been waiting until MW to buy their MB/MBP's, Not people that would buy them just to have the newest thing.

I am currently computerless and have been waiting a like 7 weeks already for MW and if nothing happens at MW I am just going to buy anyway unless I see some reason not too.

Which is why the best time to buy a Mac is when they're updated!

Enjoy being on top for 6 months.

which is also why there will never be a MAJOR update (well cept the transition to intel)

simply because in 6 months time nothing drastic is going to happen
