"Maybe"

My whole future with Apple is becoming in doubt with stuff like the CASM on device forced scanning.
That is supposedly coming to Monterrey, which will be required software for a future currently unreleased M series Mac

I have a Macbook pro M1 with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD.

Yes I will definitely upgrade to next Macbook which supports 32GB RAM. The 16GB are still not enough for photo and video editing.

Might upgrade because currently my Air can only connect to one monitor, so I'll have to decide rather get a new laptop or a new monitor... It's cheaper the laptop lol.

Only if the new Air has 3 or 4 TB ports, I would have bought the 13 MBP if it had more TB ports.. Trade in value would be a factor as well. Adding an SD Card slot and bigger screen for the same 13" form factor would make it a definite.

While I have no need to upgrade my M1 MBP, I might pick up the new Mac Mini when it is released and add it to my home office workflow, especially now that I upgraded to a larger desk and have the space for multiple machines, monitors, etc.

Current M1 Mini 16/256 here. As a non-pro user of something that needs multiple threads, the M1X does not appeal to me IMO. If a true M2 (based off A15 cores, or whatever) is released, I will for sure upgrade. I want better single core performance vs more of the same M1 cores which don't really aid my workflow. So it depends what's released on if I upgrade or not. Also, if the new MBPs come with a 'pro motion' display @ 120Hz (have no idea if this is ever on the rumor agenda), I will get one. My biggest gripe about all Mac displays is they are on 60Hz, which I know is normal, but as a PC gamer, even navigating windows and 2d apps, browsing, 120+ hz is a game changer and really hard to go back to 60 once you experience 120, 144, 240, etc IMO...

I would need the following done to consider upgrading.

1. 15-16" air
2. Support for at least 2 external monitors on the air
3. A 5G sim card support so I can use my device on the go without needing wifi. I dont want to tether and kill my battery, and I dont want to carry a portable charger.

If 2 or more happen then yes I will upgrade.

Optional: Increase ram to 32gb
Same here.

I bought a M1 MBP (1TB/16GB) just before a long trip I had to take back in June. It replaced my 2016 nTB MBP that died (flickering screen). I have been thoroughly impressed with the M1 for my needs. Parallels 17 runs Windows 10 fantastic and meets my Windows needs while I am traveling (not as much these days). At home, I actually decided to get a cheap small form factor PC and just remote into it from my Mac for the few Windows apps I need.

Whatever Apple brings out will be really tempting. I was planning on upgrading to the redesign later this year, but my Mac died and I needed a replacement right away at the time. One nice thing about the 2020 M1 design is that a lot of the issues that plagued the 2016 models have been resolved, so I'm hoping the 2020 M1 will last long. Jumping on the first generation of a new redesign can bring a little risk, and it happened to me with the image retention of the retina displays in 2012.

So for me, maybe, but probably I will wait a few more years.

You need a maybe option in your poll. I may upgrade from my M1 MBA (16GB, 1TB), depending on the specs of whatever comes out. I want more RAM, active cooling, and a *much* better screen, but I don't want something too heavy. A 16" would be too heavy...
I've made up my mind, I wont be updating, and probably wont use my M1 Mac very much anymore. My Intel Mac is my main Apple machine and it runs an older version of the OS and that isn't changing.

It would be awesome to upgrade as much as possible

My MacBook Air is doing good so far and I see nothing unusual that would make me feel like upgrading. It's a very comfortable experience

The only way I would upgrade is if there are significant reasons. I thought I would upgrade if Apple offered 32 or 64 GB of memory. However, using the 16 GB M1 I've found that I don't really even need that much memory. It works perfectly for what I need to do -- Teams, Office, Chrome, etc. I frequently open 200+ page PDF's and Word documents and it hasn't even gotten bogged down by that. My wife, on the other hand, uses Photoshop extensively. I am waiting for more memory before upgrading her Intel CPU to AS.
