How are you dealing with the mini heat wave, Rhett? :p

Currently having a sparkling water with a splash of gin. I'd love to indulge in an actual drink but it's a bit too warm for that.

I’m travelling and found Founders KBS on tap at a random bar I visited. They poured a full pint. Yes please!

I’m not sure they even know what they have: happy hour KBS pints for $4....

Wow. On tap? What a find.

Treasure it, because I doubt that this will be a regular discovery.

A light beer with a bite - say, a tart fruit beer, or proper lager - would go well with a "mini-heat wave".

Luckily we didn't have the humid and sticky factor to contend with. Of course that doesn't mean it won't be coming as it feels like we have been getting more humid over the years. Which is unusual for us.

Well, I'm not in south California - but in equatorial Africa just now.

However, tonight I hosted some colleagues and we consumed two bottles of St-Emilion Grand Cru. Sublime.

Today is my birthday and tonight I shall be spending it alone with a (1/2) bottle of Jack Daniels and plenty of ice. That sentence sounds melancholic but I promise you it's just the way I like it! PS; No work tomorrow (yeah!)

Whisky, rather than wine, or beer , or cognac?

Anyway, may you have a happy birthday and may you enjoy your Jack Daniels.

More than once, I have spent a birthday in the company of a bottle of Amarone, and very nice it was, too, I must say.
