I love this beer! Good choice.

When I was rummaging in my beer crates this evening, I did find a sufficiency of KBS, - the best part of a full crate that I knew I had put aside - but then thought to myself, nah, I'll greet some of my other splendid beers.

I knew I had some Breakfast Stout somewhere, but also had several bottles of the always excellent Backwoods Bastard; actually, this one had lovely dusty shoulders when I reached in to grab it out of its crate - wow; how nice is that?

Sounds interesting, will have to check it out. Thanks.

Recommended - a lovely beautifully balanced slightly sweet (and quite a hefty and powerful) stout.

A friend showed up (at my invitation): He sampled a chalice of KBS from Founder's followed by a chalice of Yellow Belly from Buxton Brewery. And then requested a further bottle of KBS from Founder's.

For my part, I enjoyed the aforementioned "Battle Horse" from Buxton, and followed it up with two helpings of "Yellow Belly" from the same venerable brewery.

Very nice haul! I use a similar company called "Tavour" for some of the micro brews around the US and sometimes some imported ones too!

I am very curious to hear how the The White Hag Irish IPA tastes! So far I have a few rye beers and it has been hit or miss for me.

From the looks of it, you like IPA's...

Very nice haul!

I don't think I've ever had the pleasure of trying an Irish Red Ale.

Really? Heck if you want to try one of the more popular ones, Smithwicks makes a decent red ale, which you can usually find in the bottle or on tap at an Irish pub. I love red ales! I love Irish Red Ales!!

Beer Republic also makes a really good Red Ale, but I can't remember if it is an Irish or ... Old Speckled Hen is an English ale bordering on a red ale. Very good especially if you can find it on tap.

I was able to snag me some KBS. Picked up two bombers! So for Founders Beer, it has been a pretty good year. Was able to pick up two bombers of CBS and two KBS! I am one happy guy!

What a wonderful year - CBS and KBS; do enjoy.

Now, enlighten me, please: What is a 'bomber'?

Very nice haul; I've had a few beers from The White Hag and all of them were pretty good.

Enjoy.

Now I don't know if this is an official term, however I have heard it used on more than one occasion, but the term "bomber" is used to describe a 22-25 oz bottle of beer. How or why they, they being folks I have talked to about beer whether at a brewery or casual conversation with my favorite bartenders, I have never inquired as to why they use that name to describe the larger bottles of beer.

Gosh, thanks; this is a term I had never come across.

Excellent buys. @D.T. Is that a black polycarbonate MacBook I spot with my little eye?

90 minute, always fantastic, the new-to-me Palo Santo Marron was _amazing_, some of the dark[er] products get a little too "syrupy", they get an overpowering raisin/tobacco, lose some of the more subtle core beer notes, this was dark, but "bright", had a nice pickup of sweeter fruits that perfectly offset the darker roast flavors. If you didn't notice, it's also 12% ABV so consume with caution :D

That's a MBP 15" with a carbon skin  (in a slick little aluminum silver/spacegray stand)
