Sierra Nevada Torpedo IPA is outstanding, a standard "go to" for me, especially when restocking from the grocery.

Goose Island is pretty mediocre at best, but sometimes passable if it's on draft and "the best" option at a restaurant (though usually our restaurant decisions account for the draft selections :D)

I generally dig on Lagunitas, two of my current favorites (in general, but both from Lagunitas):

Little Sumpin is a good beer. Torpedo is a very good beer too! I haven't had Super Cluster yet, but I will give it a try though!

Little Sumptin' is always good. I had a Torpedo earlier with some crackers. It hit the spot.

In a coffee shop.
Oh...the season is changing in favor of dark beers and Scotch!! Enjoy that 8!

This has been a cold, wet, overcast summer.

Thus, regrettably, I feel that I must report that the season never caused dark beers to fall out of favour.

There were a few days in June when the thought of session beers and light lagers did tempt; but, not since, then, alas.

It’s been a rainy summer here too. So much so I’ve not watered the grass even once. Usually that routine has started by the end of June. Speaking of beverages I think I’ll squeeze one in!

Went a little German this weekend. Tried Goldbrau Stiegl Gold lager. It was actually pretty good and the flavor is what you would expect from a good German beer. Very clean tasting. While not a German beer, I tried Alesmith's Oktoberfest beer. Which was actually pretty darn good. Not to heavy on the spice.
