Ordered some beer today - several classics from Weihenstephaner, and some Trappist beer from Belgium.
And, yes, three bottles of Chablis.

Many thanks.Happy birthday @Scepticalscribe , glad you enjoyed it properly!
I just came back from Madrid and we had an amazing red wine, Flor de Pingus, which I very rare I drink. But we all loved it. Pricey though but exquisite!
And with Lomo and jamón de Iberico, delicious.
Draw a deep breath, and sigh a happy (if slightly envious) sigh.Amazing wine, for my birthday héhé!View attachment 2369618

Never had wine from New Zealand, Australia yes and as the climate and geography is quite different must be interesting.A glass (or two) of Pinot Noir from New Zealand.

As @Silencio (quoted below) observes, New Zealand produces (and exports) quite a lot of Sauvignon Blanc (which would not be my favourite style, or wine).Never had wine from New Zealand, Australia yes and as the climate and geography is quite different must be interesting.
Exactly.New Zealand exports a lot of decent to good Sauvignon Blanc. They have some nice Pinots, as well.
Agreed.Last time we were there, we were attending our niece's wedding at a winery in Hawke's Bay and sampled much of the local wares. Good stuff.
