My second beer of the evening was the splendid Westmalle Dubbel from Belgium.
And this has been consumed (enjoyed, sipped, sampled, savoured) from a Westmalle glass (goblet, chalice).

Well after my trip to Portugal I wanted to share my experience.
A surprise:
It was ok though stouts are not my rthing in summer. I find Super Bock (one of the main brands) a bit boring, I prefer Sagres. The best was this one (forgot the name it was on a rooftop bar):
This is mainly wine country though and I really enjoyed the vinho verde (green wine) that goes so well with seafood and fish.

Well I like panache (lager with Sprite or similar soft drinks) occasionally when it is really hot like these days.

Sipping a Japanese beer, Kirin Ichiban, as I had ordered some sushi earlier, and thought that Japanese beer would work best with this.
Wonderful; do enjoy.
What a splendid table, and panoramic vista.
To my mind, there are no better wines than a really good Meursault.
Enjoyed a glass (or two) of Viognier, from the Pays d'Oc, in southern France, yesterday evening.
Sipping a most agreeable and palatable (white) wine from Burgundy, France, a Chablis 1er Cru.
Sipping a masterpiece brewed by the Bavarian brewery Weihenstephaner, their superb Korbinian beer, a superlative "doppelbock".

A timeless classic from Belgium: Trappistes Rochefort 10, served in a Trappistes Rochefort glass/goblet/chalice.

Sipping a Weihenstephaner beer, their superb Vitus, which they describe as a "pale wheat bock" beer.
Visited a vineyard (and winery) yesterday, and sampled some rather splendid wines, including a white wine made from a grape (one, with an ancient and venerable ancestry, dating back to Roman times, I was informed by the owner) that I had never heard of, named Zilavka.

Finally found some Weihenstephaner in stock local to me, their Festbier for Oktoberfest. They do great work over there.
Enjoyed an agreeable local beer, and earlier, paid a flying, fleeting visit to a local vineyard to pick up a mixed crate of wine that I had purchased last Saturday.
