Still waiting for those plenty of factors outside not bending to get the cord.
Were you not reading the thread?

Not having to find the cable in the dark. Being able just to put down the phone. Being able to pick it up from charging to answer without worrying about the cable. Easier to keep the cable away from pets.

That you don’t agree with the factors doesn’t mean they don’t exist for others.

Does anyone have issues with the phone starting to charge and then stopping for some unknown reason while wirelessly charging? I purchased about 4 different kinds of chargers and, without fail, they would stop charging the phone. It wouldn’t be every night but it would be common enough to be annoying. The only fix would be to unplug the charger and then plug it back in. This would happen with both my 8+ and my wife’s 8. After it kept happening, I abandoned wireless completely.
Could this have been due to faulty or cheap chargers or somehow phone related? If you’ve NEVER had this problem, what kind of charger(s) do you use because I’d like to buy one?

LOL I have dropped my iPhone before while answering the phone with cable attached. And also bent down hunched over my desk while talking so I don't risk dropping the iPhone again... even though it's connected to a 6ft cord this time.

be careful though, he will start calling you out for your math skills, while simultaneously misrepresenting his own math and adding to yours.
off3nc3: look, no matter what anyone says.. you are 100% against wireless charging we can all see that. I didn't think it was worth it either, until I started using it.
Same with the removal of the headphone jack, I was one of the pissed off customers. Until I realized I had already switched to bluetooth and only own 1 set of headphones with a 3.5mm jack. (not including the free ones with iPhones since I never used them) Not having a headphone jack doesn't bother me at all.

Case maybe?

I've never had that issue, but 1 case I had would not charge at all in my truck.

I was not a fan of wireless charging in the beginning. However, I did purchase 2 Mophie units to try and they have worked well, when charging overnight. If I need a quick charge, I have the 29w brick and USB-C cord.
Exactly.
I use wireless, but i'm NOT in anyway saying wired is bad or will never use it.

I have the Anker PowerWave for use with my iPhone 8. It is terrific. 4 months so far of very convenient and fast charging. $30 at Amazon.

Sure glad I didn't wait for Apple to build something !

I bought a cheap wireless charger for my X but hardly ever use it, finding it easier to use a cable from my MacBook. I can see them possibly being useful on a bedside table if you like to charge to 100% overnight but I prefer to stop at 90 - 95 as I have heard that this is better for the battery.

Honestly, it sort of depends on the wireless charger I would think. I had a cheap little 'plate' one that worked great, but was maybe too small.

A big mat might be great though.

Wireless charger on my headboard of my bed.
Wireless charger on my desk.
Wireless charger in my Truck.
Wireless charger setup for travel.

I used a cable once since I got the 8 Plus.
Go cordless, so much easier.

If you don’t mind buying 4 charging pads.

It is super easy to use, and usually more convenient. I’m just curious if the improved wireless charging will be 10w or 15w. Either should be a nice upgrade.

You figured this would be on their website since people want to know what they are pre-ordering for.

Truck has it BUILT in.. maybe you didn't read that part.
Bought the one on my headboard, and the desk. one was $40 the other $20.
The travel one... was free when I bought the 8 Plus from AT&T last year.

And get this, AT&T is giving me *another* free one for buying the XS Max.

$60 and I'll have 5 wireless chargers while you pay $50 for one brick and $20 for another cable.
If you seen the link I posted, the $40 one was to combine iPhone Watch and Airpods in one unit.
