This isn’t like getting a 7+ for $410. It’s the most expensive iPhone ever in the biggest storage size. I’m sure he probably wondered if it was a scam, but didn’t want to show anyone in fear they sniped it from him. I really feel bad for him. No one who has a 256gb x brand new doesn’t know what they have. Even if they won it and had no use for it, they would surely google to see what they are going for. My guess is the seller created his account purely to scam someone with this phone. How do refunds work if you can’t even find the seller?

Good luck, OP.
The only place I know of to get rock bottom prices is here. Cheap fellow forum members. :p

Thanks for the good luck tell you the truth Am a bit Nervous about this my self so can’t wait too get the package and see what I got and that the fun part

We will see here wish me luck

I promised I will report my findings when I get the package all I ask if you will please have faith in me
We have faith in you. You sound like a really good guy. The problem is this would be one of the cheapest 256gb x to ever be sold. A buddy paid $450 for one with a cracked screen a few months after it launched. To find a new one in 256gb for under $900 just seems impossible. I really hope I’m wrong and will happily apologize if this seems harsh. I just hope you can get your money back IF it’s a scam. A GOOD deal for this phone would be $900. You got it for $500 less than that...

This is true and it’s suspicious to say the least but circumstances could just make this a good deal. A divorce or death for example. I know a guy that bought a house (unknowingly) after a messy divorce for 80k less than what it could have sold for quickly, 100k with patience.

I do think there is a scam here in this case but the deed is done, might as well be optimistic.

When I sell my used stuff I usually ask as low as 50% less the average asking Price because I'm not interested in waiting for months to find a buyer, especially when everyone else and their dog is selling the same thing.

I got a 2 day old X64gb for $1000, here they retail $1579, a week old 8 256 for $600 retail $1229, a week old 8 plus 256 for $800 retail $1429, the plus off ebay the other 2 face to face with cash so there is bargains to be had, but $400US or $600 here for X 256gb is a worry. Good luck OP you never know.

Please have someone else to film the opening of the box. Have the person focus on the box and also on your face immediately upon opening. I want to see the instant your heart is broken.

Much like poor Ralph.

Best of luck OP; really hoping it works out. eBay buyer protection is pretty decent if it does turn out to be a scam. I've had to use it a few times over the years and have always received a full refund. The last time eBay or myself never got a responses from the seller so they sent me a label to ship it back and was refunded. The package ended up back on my doorstep as undeliverable so eBay just told me to keep it.

Sounds like many here are hoping the OP gets screwed.

Great deal can be had, hoping for the best.
I dont think anyone is hoping for that. More like expecting it. I hope it turns out legit, but the phone he purchased is "worth" more than 2x what he paid. You have to wonder why someone with a brand new account would literally give away the most expensive iphone ever made.

If the buyer paid with paypal, he's covered for a full refund if it's not legit.

And, I agree with maybe it's for real. You just never know.

There's a saying that goes something like this:
"If you hear hoofprints in the distance, think horses, not zebras."
Or, in this case, think horses, not unicorns. :(

Frankly, I think this whole story is being made up, for what ever reason.
On a second thought.....it could just be jealous girl taking revenge on her boyfriend :)...so, there is still hope it's a genuine deal :)

Used SEs go for around $200-$300, 7plus for around $400.

An x going for $400? What could go wrong?

What could go wrong that’s funny it could blow up lol just kidding

How is it brand new but has a screen protector on it? Kinda hard to put a screen protector on something that’s brand new in the box.

That would be a very stupid move for eBay....

Agreed I can see eBay going out of business in 3 week after that move
