If you used WorkOutDoors for those runs then you may be able to reload them into Apple's health system by exporting a TCX or GPX file from WorkOutDoors and then importing that file into the health system by using HealthFit: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/healthfit/id1202650514?mt=8I did the unpair/repair procedure (from backup) in early October and it seems iOS 14.2 GM is only restoring GPS tracks backwards until this date. All runs before this date and also before watchOS 7 / iOS 14 are still gone.
Thanks. Not a big problem to me that justifies the work. It is hundreds of workout and the older ones are not on WOD.If you used WorkOutDoors for those runs then you may be able to reload them into Apple's health system by exporting a TCX or GPX file from WorkOutDoors and then importing that file into the health system by using HealthFit: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/healthfit/id1202650514?mt=8
This is another iOS 14 bug that affects some people. The splits are not shown in the Fitness app for workouts created with any workout apps except Apple's own app: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/251809580Different question, another thing that OS14.2 did not fix, is split times. I still do not get the split lap times in the fitness app. If I use the native app I get the split times. Any idea why?
iOS 14 and watchOS 7 are definitely less reliable when transferring files. It has always been that the files are transferred when they feel like it, but this was usually pretty much immediately in the past.Again i couldn't transfer a route from iphone to watch. Didn't reboot or something else because we cancelled the trip but just for your information. With ios 13 it was way better and finished in a couple of seconds.
I had the same issue. What I've noticed is that WorkOutDoors, at least in my case, will only ask for this permission (and can apparently only be granted the permission) if Fitness Tracking has also been activated on the iPhone (i.e. in the phone's Settings app) and not just on the Watch. Probably not an issue for most people who haven't explicitly deactivated Fitness Tracking on their phone. It sounds like you need to give the app permission to see the pedometer. To do this go to the Settings app on the watch and tap Privacy and then Motion & Fitness. Then ensure Fitness Tracking is switched on for the watch and also for WorkOutDoors (so both switches are on).
In theory iOS should ask for this permission when you first use the app, but sometimes it can forget amongst all the other permissions that are required.

I am still working on the next major release, but after that is out then I will start work on Stryd. I haven't thought much about calibration but I do plan to integrate power into the interval schedules.Hi mate,
I would just like to ask, how is the integration with stride going?
Will have it calibrate mode ?
Power zones for structural training?
I will gladly pay extra for this upgrade, or send you for a beer, only I have to get your paypal
cheers,
Robert
I haven't heard of any accuracy issues with the rolling pace. Are you using GPS distances or the Health Distances for the rolling pace? You can control this in the watch settings: Pace/Running/Rolling Pace.I had a bit of an issue during my easy run yesterday. I have rolling pace set up as an alert and although the first rolling pace and average pace was in line, every single rolling pace alert after that was considerably quicker than my average pace. My average pace actually dropped as my run progressed and by the end of the run was about 15s/km slower than my starting pace. My assumption is that my average pace was correct so what’s going on with the rolling pace?
YesHi, before buying the app I have a question, the recorded workouts are stored in the Fitness app as if they were a workout created by the native app? I do like the interface and simplicity of the app.
The app uses the GPS for a few minutes after you use it, so that it doesn't have to reacquire the GPS if you briefly drop your wrist. It seems that watchOS 7 is treating this in the same way as it does a workout, and somehow keeping the app always active. However it only affects a few people.Recently (probably since update to 7.1) every time I use WOD for a workout I observe a strange behaviour.
After I have finished the workout and after the recovery phase has completed, the watch keeps on returning to the WOD home screen, no matter how many times I quit it, it will return to WOD after a few seconds.
The only way to sop this is to do a force quit of the app (long press of side button followed by long press of digital crown).
I can't be the only one experiencing this behaviour.

With watchOS 7.0 you could fix it with the following workaround: Go to Apple's Watch app on the iPhone, or the Settings app on the watch. Tap General, then Wake Screen, then WorkoutDoors. Then select Custom and then Always.
However I have heard reports that this doesn’t work with 7.0.1 to 7.0.3 (no feedback on 7.1 yet so it will be interesting to see if it helps you). If the workaround does not work then please remove the app from the dock (if it is in it) and switch off background app updates for it. To do that go to the Settings app on the watch and tap General and then Background App Refresh, and then switch it off for WorkOutDoors.
If that doesn't work then I suggest killing the app off by the side buttons as you are doing.
I plan to release a version which does not keep the GPS on (or at least where it is optional), but I will wait for a while because Apple are clearly changing the way the background GPS works with each flaky release, so I will wait until things have settled down. Hopefully it is a bug they will fix rather than a deliberate change.
It uses GPS in case you are about to start an outdoor workout. The app allows you to get a good GPS signal before you start a workout, but it cannot tell what type of workout you are about to start. Thanks, but why would it use GPS when I am doing indoor Elliptical exercise?
I will try your suggestion, but I am concerned that GPS might be used (a) unnecessarily and (b) for longer than required.

I will ask about stryd, is there any light in the tunnel?
