Not sure, I am still looking a good way to find out which apps can actually use 10bit in MacOS, and then make a test on it.

Photoshop is the easiest one, open a fresh page and use the gradient tool to create a black to white gradient from the left to the right. Look for banding within the gradient. 10 bit should not have banding or at least next to no banding.
[doublepost=1510433480][/doublepost]8 bit is known for banding effects within gradients of colour.
[doublepost=1510433928][/doublepost]If you go on google images and type in 8 bit vs 10 bit you will see examples of what to look for.

mm i looked back at the website and still tad confused, maybe ill send the guy a tweet to ask for more info.

@William Payne the gradient test you mention is problematic for it to work you need a 10-bit aware app/os, 10-bit gpu, 10-bit display, calibrated display, good eye sight/color vision :) so it may just show that the gradient is broken but not at which step you have a problem.
(i may be wrong tho, iv not looked to much in to 10-bit for ages as until recently it's just been to costly and you need a end to end 10-bit workflow for it to matter)

well i work in sRGB and dont print so it dose not relay mater for me :p

i gess i can do a search for a windows app to check on that side, it is showing that one of my displays can do 75hz as well as 60hz which i have seen displayed in a windows app.

Photoshop is 10bit aware but as you say you need to have the hardware to see it.
