I introduced a can of Coke to my bluetooth keyboard (the previous chunky key one). Next day I ran into town and bought a slim wired keyboard and now I have an extra 4 AA rechargeable batteries lying around :)

Kinda glad it happened. The slim keyboard is amazing.

Spilled a full glass of hot milk on my MacBook. It was all over the keyboard, touch pad, and the palmrest. And to top it off my iPhone was lying on the MB`s palm rest.

But it didnt really end that bad. The iPhone is still working correctly(only there are a few spots on the screen which are visible all the time). The macbook survived without a single damage though:). Thanks to the fact that I had put a single sheet of newspaper on the keyboard and the palm rest of the MacBook. And thankfully that sheet was glossy paper so it didnt allow a sinlgle drop of milk to pass through and touch the macbook.

So I guess I was pretty lucky. There`s no way in the I could afford a new Mac or a new iphone. Two of the things which I cant do without would have been killed in a single instance. Lucky lucky me. (and yeah clumsy clumsy me to drop a glass full of milk on my MB and iphone.)

Worst accident with my Macs??

I've actually got a photo of one of my worst Mac-related accidents. It involved a 24" C2D iMac AND a 20" CD iMac. :(

Be warned, extremely graphic picture below.

one day i was in hurry with traveling between two jobs that i left a wendy's cup in my cup holder for a day well i took that cup out and continued about my business. The next day i didn;t notice that the bottom of the cup had given away and day old dr pepper had turned my cup holder into a miniature pool.

WELL i usually put my phones in my cup holder when im driving as i have two in the stang. guess which one i put the iphone in????the bottom connector and button took a bath in day old dr pepper.

Luckily it worked fine after letting it chill for about 30 minutes. the speakers were muffled and it kept saying "this device is not compatible with iphone" then it started working fine so i was happy!!!!

Our sports director at work was given (given - !!!!!) a Mac laptop and then a couple months later it disappeared. When I asked him what he did with it, he says, real nonchalantly, "Oh, I dropped it on the sidewalk a couple times and it stopped working."

Then he was surprised when they wouldn't give it back or get him another one... some people

I haven't had any major with my macs i tend to be careful i guess. However i have had several incidents with my iPod (simply dropping it a lot) and 2 iPhone incidents...1 major (described below) the other minor (dropping it).

I was texting back and forth with someone and at one point got up to leave because i was getting late and as i'm exiting whilst texting my headphone cord catches the door handle, phone flies off my hand, hits/bounces off the nearest counter table and lands on the floor...meanwhile the force of the handle's pull on the cord forces me (on realisation) to quickly take an involuntary step back because i didn't want to rip the cord obviously

Guess what i step on after taking a step back...yup i plant my boot in all force/glory on my iPhone's face but quickly lifted my foot on realisation i was stepping on something. ALL these happened in the space of 2-3 seconds but luckily the iPhone survived unscathed

It was an accident... It was a totally new meaning to sticky keys...
And yes, I am serious.

Well, while that achievement of yours is commendable, I'd be FAR more impressed if you accomplished the same with a wired keyboard.

I think he loaded it with Vista...

"I'm a Mac, not a PC...." :p

This is what I saw when I came home last night... I almost cried.

Darn my Mac must be partying hard huh? That's a horrible hang over. I bet he feels like the infamous "sad mac" face now.

I spilled beer on my MBP, but it was only a small amount and none got inside... I got lucky!
Also I tried to snap the clips that hold the top and bottom cases together around the superdrive area, pressed too hard and now it's a little bent. :(

nothing really cosmetic that i did... my pb case was warping so i got it fixed after a month of waiting for a top case.
my 'rents iMac when upgrading to leopard wouldn't upgrade (it would fail after a minute) so apple replaced my HDD
my brother's old ibook took a beating. Lots of spilled diet coke and a few keys that broke off

About 10 ounces of Diet Coke on my MacBook Pro which now features a beautifully LED lit, non-functioning keyboard.

Worst Accident

Dropped the old Macbook onto the side of a bed, cracked the screen.

Note to any others with a broken screen, fix it yourself, I did and saved myself $300:cool:

The first one involved installing Windows on my MBP....

Then the next one was deleting some file in my system folder that just f****d up my G5 Tower.

Sorry, no photos.

My fiancee did loan her computer to a family member and it's never been seen again.

my girlfriend put her ring on the macbook.. ok thats no accident, but after some hours she forgot that and closed the macbook very powerfull.. we just heard "krrk" and it was done.. poor display :(
