With your design, how wouod it get weather? I assume there is a connection. Apple wouldn't make something if u need to manually set the time.

Like I said, im sure they can squeeze a 3G chip in there, or use the old MSN direct/connect (wtf it's called) lol technology used in the now discontinued watches.

Edit: bingo

An Apple-made watch? Maybe. A mini iPhone in a watch? No way.

Watches are almost pointless nowadays... with our phones doing the same thing now.

OMG it can not be!
Another dumb thread!

On MR Forums, nothing is dumb!
Why don't you try it for yourself.
Have a same poll with iStone (paperweight with every "i" function)
and there'll be buyers in a huge line swirling around blocks around their Apple stores.

Better yet, they'll buy a bumper and appreciate it better!

Constantly taking a phone out of a pocket is annoying and pushing the sleep/wake button is too. And with a watch I could take it on fishing/outdoor trips with only using the features I need and not worry about dropping/losing it lol.

Tv Watch

It would be cool if Apple someday made a smaller iPhone that was a watch too. What are your opinions?

Back in 1984 Seiko came out with a LCD TV watch that sold for $500. I bought one and I was so proud of it!!! LOL I use to take it to work with me and watch Press Your Luck (old game show) on it all the time. Of course I had a bad temper back then and me and my girl friend got into a fight and I took it and smashed it on the ground!! I wanted that think so bad...and to think I pounded it on the ground one day while I was mad!! LOL oh well live and learn!!

Here is a link to a video about the watch

Okay... so hold your mic button in and ask for the time.

I'd love a watch with an Apple logo, e.g. the old "Think Different" watches, but I think a watch-sized iPhone is just silly.

I would use an iWatch, but not the one you are thinking of.
It must be a accessory to your iPhone. The same thing Sony Ericsson is doing with their phones & watches.
When you receive a message or missed a call on your iPhone, the watch will warn you by showing a notification on the watch or by vibrating.
Also The ability to skip, fastforward & change a song and the ability to switch between ring & vibrate without touching your iPhone.

I used to own the Sony Ericcson MBW classic watch with the Sony Ericsson C510. Would love something like it but with a larger screen.

I wouldn't buy one, mainly because I think it would look cheap and tacky. I'm also a big fan if tag and omega watches.

iwatch......is it practical?

I think they are asking to much for the feature set on an "iWatch", so I narrowed it down to wat seems to be more practical.

The features I would include:
1. Basic watch functionality
2. 4-8 gb for music only(great for working out, Bluetooth headset)
3. Front facing camera for facetime only. The iPad isn't a phone but many of us believe facetime will be included in the next generation, so this isn't too far fetched right?

Wow, that Pic as it is is very very pretty, but Apple's biggest wearable device they make is the shuffle, and I don't really see it

There's a guy at work who has a Casio calculator watch. Yes, total geek. He doesn't have a cell phone. I haven't worn a watch since I got my first pager, 15 years ago.
