No, and given recent habits of the consumer, most folks probably wouldn't either. I just saw a news story a month or so ago stating that people are not buying watches. Given that their phones have clocks on them, many people choose not to wear a watch, unless its for a specific fashion statement.

For me, I do wear one, but only for the basic need of telling the time.

My dad had one of those when I was a kid, no idea whether he still has it.

I wouldn't get an Apple watch; I'll stick with my current Casio:

 That is one fugly looking watch bro. not exactly a lady magnet is it??

An Apple-made watch? Maybe. A mini iPhone in a watch? No way.

Watches are almost pointless nowadays... with our phones doing the same thing now.

I think it possible, if bluetooth and voice dialing were used I'd rather have a watch than a cellphone that could do all that--seems a step backwards going from something on my wrist to something bulky I keep having to dig out of a pocket to tell the time.

Of course in my case the thing would have to be damn near indestructible even a good quality wrist watch never lasted more than two months on my arm. a cell lasts me on average six months just in my pocket.

I probably would buy an Apple cell phone-watch.
I don't like cell phones in general but I think I would like that one.

LG makes one already, but it's over a thousand bucks. **** that!

Love my watches here

Won't tell you all how many I have. LOL

None of them really expensive, but they had their own style and use. Google the Android Alien watch... LOL

I leave it to Apple in the end to show me what I can't live without... The iPod, the iPhone (and the iPod Touch), and now the iPad. Maybe a bit far reaching but each of these has given me much use and pleasure in using them - even though I never thought that I might want complete access to my music, or Apps and web access even on a small screen, or most recently being able to enjoy all sorts of great media in good resolution - just with the iPad had shipped with the Retinia display screen LOL

So in the end if Apple were to do an iWatch.... I am sure it would make us rethink things yet again...

A touchscreen watch? Ive seen a touchscreen remote but not a watch.... I might buy it... i guess it all depends on how much it would cost.

Honestly, I think the best potential for a "iWatch" is something to complement the iPhone. Think, in essence, an iPhone remote, displays time, date, temp, which it gets via a Bluetooth connection to your iPhone. Phone rings? See who it is, and ignore, or if you have a bluetooth, answer. Text or email? See who it's from and what it says. Pause, play, volume on music. Take it a step further, and with such a push to voice control, the device can be a mic for that.

I think so many people are over thinking something like this, you are always going to have your iPhone, so why not put all the work in the pocket and make the thing on your wrist a screen if sorts.

I don't wear a watch, but I could wear that.

Plus, I could wear my "watch" at work, that is until it caught on and people knew what it was. Lol

I would use an iWatch, but not the one you are thinking of.
It must be a accessory to your iPhone. The same thing Sony Ericsson is doing with their phones & watches.
When you receive a message or missed a call on your iPhone, the watch will warn you by showing a notification on the watch or by vibrating.
Also The ability to skip, fastforward & change a song and the ability to switch between ring & vibrate without touching your iPhone.

I used to own the Sony Ericcson MBW classic watch with the Sony Ericsson C510. Would love something like it but with a larger screen.

That is ****ing awesome!

The way Apple have been going recently with all the iOS clock bugs, the iWatch would he the most unreliable watch in history.

No. I do not have to have everything with the Apple logo on it. Besides that, I cannot imagine it could substitute a beauty like this.

Not that I can afford to buy one but I would love to. :D

Not only would I buy one, I want one. I want something that gives me info from my phone without having to take it out. It's a better place to put NFC so you can use it as a credit card. It can show text messages, notifications, be used to dial favorites. Even better if there was some place s bluetooth ear piece could hide. It's worth at least $100 to me. It's the windows phone 7 idea. I wish the iPhone were better at giving me the simple info I want quickly. The best place for that info isn't in my pocket. It's on my watch.

Basically all they have to do is make an iPod nano sync with an iPhone and certain apps to begin with. This is kind of a no brainer.

Basically the current generation iPod nano with phone, wireless capabilities and other good stuff. If they ever do something like that I would want to see Atrix 4G-like webtop capabilities (but wireless) but I don't see Apple doing anything like that.

Putting a phone in it is the wrong direction. The best use of the nano, especially for Apple as a corporation is to make the ipod nano the ultimate peripheral. Its not a phone. It doesn't need to run complex apps. It needs to serve as a remote for the most useful, simple apps. It might be as smart as a dumb phone. Maybe you could play Texas Hold Em or something, but the real purpose would be time, weather, calendar, place calls, read emails, but all this is from the phone. No Writing on the thing or playing complex games. Over time it could go on to be the ultimate remote for your house, opening doors with NFC and controlling the TV and other electronics via bluetooth or wi-fi.
Sony already has a smart watch called the Liveview. Apple needs to step their game up because Android is slowly eating their lunch by letting the various manufacturers throw everything they have at the problem. Android started late and has already caught up. Window Phone 7 might get its crap together too within the year.

Not really, although it might be handy for my foursquare/Gowalla checkins!

I recently ordered this Stainless Steel Metal Watch Wrist Strap Band for iPod Nano 6 – Silvery from ChinaBuye. I never liked steel metal strap, but this one is really cool to wear. LunaTik is perfect for keeping iPod Nano secure while running dancing or working out.;) I find its really cheap at $14.80. Have anyone using this type of new iWatch with Strap:D . It has direct access to connectors for volume,sleep/wake,charging,headphones!
