Would You Miss Your Mac Pro ?

While the iMac is not ideally suited for pro work, I must say that my '07 iMac is a much better machine than my '09 MacPro.

And if you look at the original Macintosh, you can see that the iMac is its true successor. It embodies Apple's vision whereas the MacPro is more like a regular PC.

I think Apple excels with all-in-ones, be it desktops or laptops. They do that better than all other manufacturers. Although the MacPro is very good, too, it is not miles ahead of other workstation towers.

It doesn't take me too much to max out the machine in my sig. Its more of a "buy the most you can afford, push it to its limits and get as much use as you can until needing to upgrade" kind of thing.
