I think this thread has received _way_ too much attention over what one YouTuber said. I understand he has a strong following, but does that mean this individual is the final ‘say all’ for the iPhone? No. The only real reviews that matter Most about the iPhone is the actual user who purchases the phone, not what what one person says on the Internet.

I do agree with him about the UI. It's moronic that we still can't put icons wherever we want, especially on huge phones that require two hands. Now I have to fill up a screen with icons I don't care about in order to get icons I do care about lower on the screen and easier to hit one handed.

You said that iPhone XS is the best iPhone ever and you mentioned the OLED as one of the reasons. Therefore, I told you that we are almost in 2019 already, OLED panel is mandatory on phone which costs more than 1000 dollars. It is to be expected, anything less would be absolutely acceptable.

What would be REALLY amazing is if Apple made the XR with OLED, But they do not, due to their marketing strategy. And of course people are gonna love the LCD on their XR, like they would have an option. It is a fine LCD, no doubt in that, but it is still the LCD.

Yeah, I see what you mean.
It's not the best iPhone ever, just for me and those who prefer it. To some it's the iPhone 8, SE, XR, iPhone 7 or 8 Plus.

Some will take the XR though since it ISN'T OLED, because OLED is a technology that is causing issues for many here due to PWM. Eye strain and headaches.

Fair enough, If I was in for a new phone this year, I would probably buy XR, for precisely this reason.

But, let's be honest, XR does not have LCD just for the sake of empathy for those who might have problems with OLED screens. It has the LCD for "completely other reasons".

I can't disagree with you there BUT it was an excuse to coin a new marketing phrase: "Liquid Retina" LOL.

After reading several reviews I can honestly say that some are not on the money, be it good or bad. An example would be the battery life of the Xs Max.... Consumer reports says one thing , Toms Guide says another and some known U tuber ( Iforget his name) says something else
Relax and enjoy your iPhone don’t worry what somebody else says

He is just one of those guys who likes to listen to himself talk. The choice to like or not like a phone, ultimately, is up to the individual.

Outdated OS + lousy battery + missing accessories for 1000$ ? Nice.

Huawei sells it's newest flagship with 40W charger in the box, 1100$ iPhone Xs comes with 5W.
The max doesn’t have a lousy battery and it runs the latest version of iOS. It’s true that there is no fast charger in the box.

It’s the Huawei that ships with an outdated version of android but it depends on how much you need to run the lastest version of the OS.

People need to take a step back, and think what is the motivation of a youtuber. Getting views and likes. The more raunchiest (with provoking screenshots and titles) their videos, the more engagement they get, the more money they get.

It's that simple.

That's why you see so many videos simply about iPhone rants (iPhone generates great SEO).

Why do tabloids still make money?

In your opinion. I love IOS and it does everything I can want and expert from it and it does it well.
Well, you have low expectations and less requirements for a mobile OS. That's why it suits you. For me it feels like colourful calculator with a camera. I've jumped ship in iOS 11 times, and never looked back. I've had high hopes for iOS 12, and apple gave us nothing. Another slow, buggy and lackluster OS. No more.

What is it that you need to do that you can’t do on iOS? Just curious. I know there are things I that you can do on android that you can’t on iOS but you make it sound as though iOS is completely unusable.

What is it you want to do but can’t as it’s impossible on IOS. Lol you talk about slow and buggy software yet you use android, the most unoptimised software there is. Well done mate.

It's so comical how much he backpedals at the end of this new video. RE: Apple are just followers but yet
by the end of this new video he is saying he can depend on a lot of the devices copying things Apple does later.
