The problem with the world is irrational people. Some people can't be reasoned or bargained with. They just have an unnatural desire to control everything around them.

I think Macdawg gave you some excellent advice though. I would take it, but keep my comment in mind. If she won't budge just cough it up to an unreasonable and irrational parent.

Better luck in the next life.

Your mom doesn't want you to play video games.

Grow up.

Perhaps you should take your own advice? Your comment really wasn't needed nor warranted, and was completely unnecessary. You may feel holier than thou because you think that video games are childish, but that's only your personal opinion with no facts or any type the backup your opinion. While you're free to have it, just remember that it's only opinion, and that there is no right or wrong opinion. If you don't want to play video games, that's your prerogative, but because someone wants to play video games, it doesn't make them childish nor video games childish outside of your own opinion.

Just buy a cheap copy of XP from eBay and install it through bootcamp. I doubt your mum would ever know you've done it as you have to hold "alt" and select OS when you boot up. So if your mum switches your Mac on it will just boot to OSX.

Your 15 not a baby and 15 year olds should have some secrets, I think most parents would be greatfull if the worst thing there 15yr old as done is installed Windows on a Mac!

Honestly don't worry about it, I have a 13 and 14 year old son and i would worry more if they didn't have the odd little secret they kept from me :)

Okay, the other day, i felt like playing guild wars, and it is pc only... So i say to my mom, Mom can i borrow the windows xp disc? She locks all the discs up in this blue chest of hers.

She says: Why do you need it?
I say: I want to bootcamp Windows Xp on my MBP, so i can play guild wars.
She says: No, your not doing another thing that will ruin that computer...
I really never have done anything to ruin this.
---
I say: Mom. new macs are shipped with bootcamp, apple reconmends it :apple:, and it wont ruin my computer.
---
She says: Whatever... No, your not good at loading stuff on your computer.
---
She has never had a mac, and her computer is a like 7 year old HP, and it is always breaking down, so she thinks everything breaks a computer...

Its just not fair. =(

WOW! how old are you? 10? wtf? dude seriously get your own laptop and install anything you want on it.

Save up and buy your own computer. Mom's can be unreasonable and that would solve your problem.

you have your own house yet cant have a ps3? its your house so you can have a dog in there if you own it or landlord allows it.

or do you stay at your parents since then i could understand your parents position on the dog
