Thanks I will defiantly submit it next year regardless. I just like to have everything perfect hahaha, don't want to waste Apple's time you know? I would have finished but me and my wonderful mind came-up with an idea that was wayy better then my original, I would have had a really good chance, but it was too complex to finish in the deadline which was in two days. Whatever there's always next year. For now I'll just focus on individual projects, and use the year to work on my WWDC app hahaha. Again best of luck to all of you! And nicholasgis I really liked your app, defiantly have yourself a spot
Yeah that makes sense! And to be honest if you would have submitted something you did not think would make it, and it doesn't, you are still going to be sad when the rejection letter comes! Next year its going to feel good though when you get that Congrats letter!

Thanks for uploading a video! First of all the video itself is amazing! Your app is really cool designed! I would give alot of money to be able to design stuff the way you do it. The control with the D-pad is also a good idea. And the flappy game is also very cool! One thing: I think Flappie is dying a bit to fast. Hè is already dead when he flies closer than about 3 mm. But I think the people of Apple won't notice this. You have a really big chance of getting in!I'll have you know, this is my second year trying out, I got rejected last year!

My guess is around 1000 people, probably less, but definitely more than last year since you can apply with a free account. You couldn't do that last year.
Thanks for your fast response! I really hope it aren't more than 800 people that's about 1 out of 4 getting trough and with the age of 15 in my case the chance is even bigger to get trough!!!

As for people entering, I'd say there would be 1000-1500, and I believe you get priority if you are a paid developer, but I may be mistaken. Everyday it's getting tougher and tougher.

I was looking through this thread and I have to say the apps that all of you have created are pretty awesome! This is my first year applying for the scholarship but it's pretty great to see the work that everyone has out into their apps for the chance to attend WWDC (arguably the coolest thing to happen all year )

Yeah i'll try to get a video up in the next few days. Not going to lie, I feel like all the apps are great and they blow mine out of the water. As my first submission, I only gave myself 4 days to finish it and I don't have a ton of animation but I added in MapKit Views from where I'm from and where I live now, UIWeb Views for my website/app projects. I also embedded some youtube videos to explain my experiments with Leap Motion and Philips Hue. I also added a page where you can input your first name and it will generate a custom passbook pass with their name embedded inside (or whatever they put in the text field, frankly) that acts like an additional biography card to store in passbook. The pass will add their name to a welcome message and also on the back of the card where my main biography is located.
I think this year could be different. Granted I'm just going on a limb here considering this is my first year actually applying, but I do know that one difference in the form this year compared to last is they asked for a phone number to contact you if you win. Correct me if I'm wrong but they didn't do this last year. It could just be an alternative method if you don't answer your email.
