Good that you have attention for such a detail ;) but should that change the time the emails are sent?

I wouldn't think so, but as I think about it more I doubt they would be doing phone calls vs. emails because of the vast time zones that people live in. They are in Cupertino, CA which is 3 hours behind me already (I live in Massachusetts), so never mind if they choose a developer from somewhere where our daytime in the U.S. is someone else's nighttime.

Can someone confirm the emails are sent at 6 PM PDT?

Apple usually does things at either 10AM or 6PM PDT. Since last year emails were sent at 6PM (on average), I am guessing it is the same this year. And it's a pain in the a** for me since I live in the UK and I have to stay awake until 2AM, lol!

Haha, yes, I believe they'll call you to the appropriate time zones, since last year they didn't ask for the phone. I think it may be for US zoned people though. Or they may use your phone, for claiming a WWDC ticket, I don't know. But for sure, they'll be sending an email, how else can you claim your ticket if you win? I think 6:00PM PDT sounds about right in getting the emails. That's what happened last year.

Also, last year 150 people were accepted, this year 200 can be accepted. Good luck all! :D

It'll be worth it matis. You'll just sleep after getting that congratulatory email, and wake up really happy. Or from your excitement, you'll stay awake and dance! :p

Yeah so the way it seemed to occur last year was after a certain amount of time (30 minutes lets say) all of the rejection letters were sent. Meaning if they do send them at 6PM PST then if you don't get an email by 6:30 you might have gotten rejected and are just waiting for the email!! Do NOT hold me to this but its what seemed to happen last year! hahaha! Lets all hope to get our emails quick if this is true!!

I was just wondering, about how large was your app size? I think they all have to be under 50mb.

Yep, they all have to be under 50mb.

My zip file was 32mb (compressed from 51mb...yeah, that was a life saving compression!!)
My ipa file was 12mb

Hi,
Thanks for the warm welcome! Unfortunately I don't have a video just yet. I was thinking of making one, but all of your apps look so good!!! My app uses a toolkit called ARToolkit to display locations of importance to me up on the screen. When the user taps on the location, it brings them to a UITableview, where each cell is a card that explains something important about that area, or an app that I have made. I will try to make a video. Thanks so much!

I'm new this year as far as submitting an app for the scholarship and I'm making a video now of my app. Honestly, the easiest way to make a cool video demo of your app is to use an application called "reflector" along with iMovie to edit the video.

Hey guys, just made a new account to join this awesome conversation.
Anyway the apps I've seen so far have been utterly amazing and great. Now I try not to look at them since they make me feel sad :D. Good luck to everyone!

Just wondering, is there a smaller probability for those who have already won the scholarship to win again? or is that not known?
