That was not a pleasant screen to look at. This is why I don't want the time to be stretched. I want to actually see the time normally.

I worked at Apple during the iOS 6 to iOS 7 transition and so many visually impaired / color blind people could not see many of the icons and menus due to the transparency and color combos used. I wonder how that's been mitigated.
