Complaining is one thing, purposefully trolling and copy-pasting the snark year after year after year...then just making things up half the time isn't very constructive, is it? I'm not asking for a love-fest here, but come on. Have you even read some of these trolls here?

It definitely has the feel of a coordinated op. I didn’t like how the time on the Lock Screen changes size but otherwise it was a solid update and a reminder that there’s more to productivity than AI — though Workout Buddy is a good use of both GenAI and ML.

Craigs XXL Hair Force was memorable 😂
Glad that they listen to customers, in those matters too.

I’m good with my Apple gears for now though.

F1 racing and Ford Mustang sports-cars... I guess Mother Nature will be very happy.

Oh wait, it seems they're following a different leader now and have to make a business case for all that beautiful American oil.
Noticed that too, as well as the implication that you had to pretend to go fast in that electric golf cart...

As I said in a previous post, the whole country is sliding around on Mac Pro wheels on an oily rink covered in banana peels.

I am tired of watching 20 different presenters in a single event.
I was thinking it would be interesting to have all the popular tech site personalities give the keynote. It would be much more interesting.

Bullets for expediency:
  • Craig's voiceovers were conspicuously ADRed which was pretty off-putting
  • Huge focus on 'fun' and 'delight' throughout; those are important but it seemed strange
  • Liquid Glass immediately made me think of Windows
    • Audibly cringed at some of the glass-over-photos clips
    • Some of it looked good, though
    • It's great to have consistency across the platforms
    • I bet this gets toned down a lot over coming years just like Aqua, iOS 7, etc.
  • Images behind Messages made me think of MySpace; that can't turn out well
  • iPad finally got some real love and I look forward to using that
  • Workout Buddy was cringey when it started its "pep talk" at the beginning but quickly turned useful with mile markers, stats, end-of-workout summary, etc.; could be really nice
  • visionOS spatial persona upgrade was WOW
  • Image Playground and Genmojis seems useless but maybe they're for kids
  • Has Apple always sent Image Playground requests to ChatGPT?

Is there anything that indicates screen sharing with iPhone will be possible on macos in the EU in the upcoming version Tahoe or does this remain a feature that they cannot bypass due to European GDPR rules?

Re: The Language Translation feature, in which German:
"Hallo, sind Sie für ein Hochzeit am 6. December verfügbar?"

is translated to English as:

"Hi, are you available to cater a wedding on December 6th?"

It's been more than a few decades since I had German in school, but there is no word in the original German sentence for "cater". It's missing the verb "sorgen" or "versorgen".

All it says is "Are you available on Dec. 6th for a wedding?"

That's pretty bad to use as a feature example. Herr Brink would have given me a zero for that translation.

I do too. I would actually like an option to permanently hide them.

I think scrollbars are essential, but I'm also in favor of giving people more control over how they use their devices. I have no problem at all with an option to permanently hide scrollbars.
