sry guys, after hearing about those new liquid icons for 100th time I was so exited and went to open a champagne and when I heard about new background I just couldn't stand it anymore was so impressed. And when they showed that even tvos gets new icons I just fainted and must have missed the part when they said about beta. Sorry again, definitly my bad. I must much better prepera next time for such exiting news bc like really Apple made it so amazing and so innovative and those icons are so far ahead that I think I'm done completely and what made me almost come was the added ability to combine genmojis...I was waiting years for it. Now I can be so productive like beyond believe. Thanks you Apple and thank you guys for correcting me!
Now we just need Apple Intelligence to proactively edit comments with Writing Tools so comments can be easier to read. ;)

I'm just messing with ya.

Looking forward to downloading the Developer Beata of Tahoe. Hopefully it will be available for download shortly?

The whole event was unwatchable. The production values, writing and staging were all just very...cringey. Im sure that Apple has enough money to hire a few big directors and actors to entertain us as well as give us the WWDC updates. Keep Kevin and Tim and the rest of the crew in the background.
I think they are leaning on Craig a bit too much so it mutes the personalities of the other presenters. The past few events remind me of the pre-flight video you must watch on most airlines.

I think that (especially given the low expectations) this has been one of the best WWDC keynotes ever. I hardly looked at the time while watching. All the rights spots hit. No negative shenanigans like AI last year.

Now I have to save money for Vision Pro. Too much time has gone without it.

When I first saw this as a young man, it made me feel weird, like I wanted just run around, screaming till I sweated like a PIG. Developers, developers, developers...trying to pop that vein on my forehead.

I was writing win32 stuff in C++ back then for a very boring thing that no one ever heard of. When he came out on stage shouting that I literally said to myself "**** it I'm buying a Mac"

I remember the times when developers were actually in the audience clapping and cheering and the sessions did start right after that.

None of that today. Actually, a very sad day for Apple and WWDC.

This is not good usability
Yep, there's a number of things I like in what they showed this morning, but "let's not let your information/notifications distract from your background art is... not helpful. Sure maybe it's pretty in a demo, but day-to-day it looks like it makes the actual information (you know, the reason that device is in your hand in the first place) harder to read.

I'm expecting there will be a control in the Accessibility settings to make text windows less translucent/transparent. Hopefully some sort of slider so you can choose to make the background solid black/white at one extreme end of the slider, to improve readability (and all the effects they showed at the other end of the other end of the slider). I'd probably set it somewhere in the middle - pretty is nice, but not if I can't easily read the information.

iPad on M-chips run MacOS, iPads on A-chips run iPadOS.

Problem solved.

I’ll take my consulting fee in meme sh:tcoins.
Battery life on M-powered iPads is already only adequate. Run macOS and it would be even worse.

I gotta say, the iPadOS 26 seems to be the most impressive out of them all. I might get a new iPad in the near future. The window/multitasking options look like they may finally be usable, as well as a POINTY POINTER. Like how long did that take to listen to the public...

iOS is a decent upgrade visually, WatchOS kinda meh, they didn't show if the watch faces are updated for the new look, I don't care for VisionOS or tvOS as I don't own or ever plan of owning those devices.
