Hey Apple I noticed you guys did not apply liquid glass on xcode, here I made it for you!

That was quite possibly the worst ending to any apple event ever. The TLDR of this event - Apple announced it is integrating Windows AeroGlass into it's OS products and labeling Version number to the corresponding following calendar year. Siri - hush hush, we'll talk about that later sometime.

Where is Steve Jobs when you need him. oh damn.

I remember when apple used to make software that helped you create stuff and inspired you to want to use their products. It's been nearly 14 years since we have had that happen.

Ah yes, welcome to MacRumors...filled with people who hate Apple and don't use their products, but come here anyway to say how bad everything is. It's been quite a while since I was here, but you haven't changed at all.
Or people who like and use their products wish they would be better and hold them to a high standard. If I didn't care, I wouldn't be here.

Macrumors users are always the saltiest mfers around. I don't know if you guys are old and jaded but you sound old and jaded. I think this was a good keynote and there are quite a few new exciting features especially on iPad. Love the new UI but I'm a bit underwhelmed simply because I kinda expected to have more physicality to it no doubt influenced by the essay from the Halide designer.

New UI looks great!

Garbage, There is no anything anymore....I'm going to jump ship on mobile. There is no innovation just sprinkles of go oh my god look at this cool feature you can now add a period to the end of the sentence. Look at the android features we added. No Preview for iOS 👎 Hell if they added round icons or a choice of old and round the os would feel new to get more new users to 1. keep existing users and 2. add more android users. Tim Cook needs to go period there is no drive anymore.

When people stop caring, they stop complaining. When they stop caring, the platform is dead. You and Apple should be glad people care enough about these changes to talk about them, even if it is to complain.
Complaining is one thing, purposefully trolling and copy-pasting the snark year after year after year...then just making things up half the time isn't very constructive, is it? I'm not asking for a love-fest here, but come on. Have you even read some of these trolls here?

Since two decades I keep coming here because of they keynote hate twice a year. A warm and comfortable place where Apple users share their Apple frustrations. I love it.

Craig actually mentioned Siri and its AI upgrades at the beginning and said they would need more time to complete those updates talked about last year.
I think they are trying to phase away from the "Siri" label and just encompass everything under "Apple Intelligence".

The whining is starting to be a huge turn-off on MR to the point I find myself coming here a lot less. There are so many quality-of-life features in these updates.

The whole event was unwatchable. The production values, writing and staging were all just very...cringey. Im sure that Apple has enough money to hire a few big directors and actors to entertain us as well as give us the WWDC updates. Keep Kevin and Tim and the rest of the crew in the background.

Complete snooze fest, except the iPadOS improvements. My god, they are stretching with talking about how awesome all these minor little tweaks are.... As a professional App Developer, not very excited. Sounds like Platforms State of the Union is going to be a bunch of junk AI. Hopefully, I am wrong.
Tech wise we've definitely peaked. At this point I want to consume less time on my handhelds, not more. If tech companies weren't so afraid of cannibalizing their lines of products we would see some advancement. You can get heated rear seats in a Honda Civic so its only a matter of time.

That would be me. I have several criticisms on Apple. BUT, I appreciate the comments here that at least try to be constructive. Most seem to try to out-snark the last person. It degenerated into a 4chan chain.

Is there a NeXT they can buy to wholesale change the vibe at Apple? That’s about the only thing I can think of to save them.

1. Liquid glass looks like ass, it’s like revenge of the just got photoshop student designer.
2. AI was predictably weak especially the visual intelligence thing that works through a screen shot instead of circle search or whatever it’s called. Good thing there’s never more than one image on a screen at a time right?
3. Presenters were dull and seemingly chosen for their soporific voices and identity. Apple really, really, really needs to get back to some kind of a meritocracy especially now that everyone else seems to have ditched DEI.
4. Almost no developer content though maybe platform will be good later. Yeah, sure, lol.
5. I’m boring myself just thinking about it to come up with bullet points.

Tim is basically cooked, I hope he realizes it and steps down soon so the healing can begin. He’s a great COO but he has no taste and it seems like Apple has been directionless as a company for the better part of a decade now. I want to believe again.

They literally said developer betas today.

The dev beta is coming today, they literally said so.

Did you not listen? Dev betas out today, public ones I think it was next week or something. What more do you want??
sry guys, after hearing about those new liquid icons for 100th time I was so exited and went to open a champagne and when I heard about new background I just couldn't stand it anymore was so impressed. And when they showed that even tvos gets new icons I just fainted and must have missed the part when they said about beta. Sorry again, definitly my bad. I must much better prepera next time for such exiting news bc like really Apple made it so amazing and so innovative and those icons are so far ahead that I think I'm done completely and what made me almost come was the added ability to combine genmojis...I was waiting years for it. Now I can be so productive like beyond believe. Thanks you Apple and thank you guys for correcting me!
