Not sure about 5s. I'm using plain old 5. Maybe email them?

----------

Both. Got the paid version on my iPhone 5 7.0.4 and iPad 2 6.1.2.

Just confirmed it works on my 5. Disabled DirecTV app gave me the jb not supported message, enabled it and blocked access and app loaded fine.

Wonder if it works with TiVo on iPhone 5s

It does not work on the 5s yet, nor does flex - so until either is updated (or xcon) guess theres no joy for us 5s users.

Weird. My TiVo app version 3.2.2 still works after the JB on my 5s. I don't use streaming though.

This did happen to me in the past and I had to use Xcon to work around it, but it seemed like TiVo changed the app a long time ago and now it only blocks the app if you try to use streaming. That's my experience anyway. The guide and everything else in my app still works.

Correct. The streaming is what triggers the check. But for those of us with a Stream or Roamio that's a big deal.

work around but you will need ifile or way to install deb

I have TiVo and the app doesn't work because it detects jailbreak. I used to use xCon to hide the jailbreak from Tivo, but seems like version 38 (latest) doesn't work at least not with iOS 7 or the latest Tivo app.

Anyone?

EDIT: I realize that Beta 39 came out almost a year ago but haven't seen any updates.

Hello,

I just joined here today, but have read here for many months. For reference, I'm using a Jailbroken iPhone 5S, on IOS 7.0.1

Anyway, here is the way to get the Tivo app to work, where it won't detect the jailbroken phone. This is done using an older version of xCon, 37 beta 7. You will need iFile or something that can install a deb.

Credit goes to leem8181;

Go to Cydia and search for xCon, then scroll down to "Submit an app".
Next, under "open", scroll down to a post called "Tivo" post 317, by Rogreu.
Next, tap on that post and you will see a reply by leem8181. I copied that link that he had for an older version of xCon, 37 Beta 7. I then used iFile to install the deb. Now my Tivo app works, letting me stream live from my Tivo Roamio at home, over the 4G cellular network. No "Modified device' message.

I don't know if this will work for other apps, as I have not tried.
Apparently, this guy leem8181 experimented with different versions, until he found one that works.

Good luck and please post your results, I'm curious.

Here is a link. Hope it's ok to post. https://github.com/n00neimp0rtant/xCon-Issues/issues/317?source=cc

You lost me with these directions. I don't see what you mean by Submit an app, or open.

Can you just post a link to the v.37b7?

Thanks! Or pvt me with the deb or the link to the deb and I'll try it.

----------

Oh that's why. I'm still using TiVo Premieres.

Premieres + Tivo Stream is what I had, just upgraded to Roamio though. Problem is universal in regards to streaming though. :)

I am happy at least it doesn't check until streaming now.

----------

Update from Developer:

"NO iOS 7 SUPPORT YET! MOBILE SUBSTRATE AND EVASI0N7 ARE MISSING NECESSARY CRITICAL COMPONENTS TO GET XCON WORKING ON iOS 7
Before opening an issue PLEASE search the open issues to make sure there is already a thread going on it. Please STOP opening new tickets."

Will that link work?

Try the link above. You will see his link about two posts down.

Also, Cydia is going to remind you that there is an update and of course don't. (unless it's Beta 40 or something) I don't even think Beta 39 worked correctly. I know that you would know better, but some people think new is always better. Some might not check the version numbers and could end up back where they started.

I would leave the badge on as a reminder just in case he does update xCon.

Please let Me/Us know if it worked for you. I can't PM yet, not enough posts.

I will try this on my phone with Good. Luckily I'm the server admin and can issue my own pins.

It says install this using iFile....is there a tutorial on how to install these .deb files?

Pleased to confirm this DOES in fact work :)

It made me repeat the streaming setup, but streaming works again! Hopefully Noo will update so the latest version will work.

Nice find, very very nice find, and welcome to MacRumors :)

I'm new to iFile, but I think when iFile opened up, I clicked "Installer".
After that, some lines shot down my screen (installing) and it was done.

Sorry that I can't help you more. Maybe somebody else here could help you out.

Don't have to use iFile, just FTP the file to the phone and use the dpkg -i command to install manually. Look up Terminal commands to install deb on google for more info.

My guess is the dev will realize the beta 7 worked and will update the current version to whatever it was about v37b7 and we'll all be good.

You are welcome.

A few of us guys over at TivoCommunity, try to help each other out on this jailbreaking stuff. Some don't want to talk about it. They think that they think it's illegal. maybe it's against forum rules.

If they only saw "Barrel" in action one time, they would be hooked.

I read posts here, and stumbled upon this thread. I really didn't have to have the "Away streaming" but I do have unlimited data so....

I think that I have used Winscp, to install some stuff. For people not familiar with the above, maybe the $5 would be well spent on iFile. Or is it $10.

One last thing, kind of related;
I'm so happy to get TetherMe working on my 5S. I was actually buying GB's for my iPad 2, during the Holiday season.

I highly recommend getting a TiVo Stream. They can be had on Craigslist for about $50, and are amazing. It only works when connected to WiFi (but I'm guessing 3G Unrestricter would loosen that requirement), so if I were you with unlimited data I'd be all over it. I travel a LOT, so whenever I'm away from home in a hotel I download the shows from my Tivo to my phone. I don't really stream much because it's often choppy etc, but the download capability is amazing.

I'll just buy ifile and test this with Good. I cannot jailbreak my 5s until I can beat this compliance check. I'm doing all this testing on a iPhone 5.

I'm the same way, but with my iPad. I have jailbroken my phone, but the key for me is the Tivo app, which is critical for me to have full use of on my iPad. Once xCon gets officially updated for iOS 7\iPad Mini 2, I'll jailbreak it.

Thanks man!!! That worked. My Tivo streaming and Time Warner Cable apps are working with this version of XCon. Cydia shows an update available to v38. I will just ignore the update.

Yes I have a bunch of Tivo's, including a Roamio Plus with the built-in stream. I just like experimenting.

I use My3G, with the Flags set.

Thanks for the info though.

Install iFile.
At the bottom you will see a globe.
Click the globe, it will start a web server on your iDevice.
Open a web browser on your computer and type in the IP address given in iFile.
It will show the iDevice file system. I uploaded the deb file to User/Documents.
After the file is uploaded click done in iFile. Then click the arrow at the top left until you see User.
Browse to User/Documents and click on the deb file you uploaded.
Click installer and it will install the deb file.
Then click done.

I just got a Roamio Pro for Christmas and a Tivo Slide Pro Remote as an anniversary gift. The Slide Pro remote is basically the same Roamio Remote with back lighting and a slide out keyboard.

The remote gets here Friday! Can't wait. :)

Wow!!! Thanks.

I don't even remember doing all of that. I do remember hitting the globe but then right after, I hit the Installer button, I thought. Oh well, Im tired from the Holidays so...

What's next. Grooveshark. I have it installed on my 5S, but it's stuck on the log in. That's in another thread somewhere, I'll go look.

You'll love it. I have four Slide Bluetooths and one Slide pro. I actually get a little better performance from the Bluetooths, but the Pro Slide is nice.
