Off topic a bit, but I just saw Xfinity Mobile’s “deals” for trading in an iPhone and it really didn’t mention anything for existing customers. I was planning to trade my phone in so essentially it would be super cheap to upgrade but it seems like us existing customers are thrown to the side…

Yes, they've been doing that for the last couple of years, it's so annoying. I used to just go to an Xfinity store on release day, trade in my current iPhone for the latest, and leave. The offers used to be awesome for current customers but then they changed it with the 12/ 12 Pro upgrades I believe.

it looks like last year existing customers got $800 off with trade-in…why not this year? hoping there’s more clarification posted soon.

I'm not sure they offered existing customers $800 off with a trade-in last year. I could have sworn it was with a new line. I remember people complaining that current customers weren't getting the usual deal (I could be wrong). Hopefully, we'll know more concrete terms ASAP.

details are up and it sucks:

Xfinity Mobile and Comcast Business Mobile Deals

New Xfinity Mobile and Comcast Business Mobile customers who sign up for an Unlimited Plus plan can get up to $1,000 off the new iPhone 16 lineup with eligible trade-in. Customers signing up for Unlimited Plus can also get a second line of Unlimited free for one year, helping them save hundreds over the big three.

New Xfinity Mobile and Comcast Business Mobile customers on an Unlimited or By the Gig plan can also get up to $700 off the new iPhone 16 lineup with an eligible trade in. And existing Xfinity Mobile customers can get $200 off through Xfinity Rewards.

Yes, that’s what I mentioned above. I looked on last years press release about iPhone 15 and it gave existing and new customers $830 off with trade-in. Hopefully they do something similar this year. They really seem to have just thrown us to the side if not as existing customers.

It appears I cannot pre order an iPhone 16 thru apple on xfinity. Is this true? If so where/when can I preorder?

The past 3 years of deals. This year is so bad your better off going through Apple if you have a newer device to trade in. For example in my case Xfinity Mobile is only offering $390 trade in on a 14Pro for the 16Pro. Apple has $400 trade in plus the phone comes unlocked by default. I was also reading on the Comcast subreddit that the $200 off through Xfinity rewards is only available for Diamond tier members (Customer for 14+ years), but I cant find the thread anymore so not sure if that is valid or not.

I just don’t understand how they don’t want to follow the other big three carriers? They’re just gonna lose customers..hopefully something comes out on pre-order day about existing customers because I think this is just insane

From Xfinity Mobile:

Up to $1,000 via trade-in credits limited to Unlimited Plus plans (up to $700 for all other plans).

Requires qualifying phone trade-in, and purchase of a new eligible Apple phone (excludes iPhone SE) while supplies last, a 24-month Xfinity Mobile Device Payment Plan Agreement (“Device Agreement”), and activation of new Xfinity Mobile line within 30 days of phone purchase date.

Trade-in must be completed within 21 days of phone shipment date.

Must maintain line required for offer until trade-in is completed.

Porting of number is not required with trade-in.

Up to $1,000 via trade-in credit applied monthly to your account over Device Agreement period so long as Device Agreement is in effect.

Actual trade-in amount varies depending on model of phones for trade in and purchase and will not exceed the retail value of purchased phone. If line is canceled, voluntarily or involuntarily, or phone payments are accelerated, balance of credits associated with Device Agreement are forfeited. Out of stock phones are not eligible. Offer not valid with prior purchases, returns or exchanges. May not be combined with some offers.

I plan on trading in my 12 Pro Max for the 16 Pro. I'm on a family shared plan, not unlimited, so I guess that's "up to $700 off".

Could I activate a new line for the 16 Pro, update all of my 2FA accounts to my new phone number, cancel my old phone number, and still get "up to $700 off"?

As long as you don't care about getting a new phone number that should work.

So if I'm reading that right, in order to get the credit you have to have a trade in and start a new line?

Yes existing customer deals this year are god tier awful for Xfinity
it just baffles me how they don’t want to compete with the other big three companies that offer their entire customer base 1000 off with trade in. they’re gonna lose a lot of customers i feel over this.

What are the existing customer deals? I don't see them anywhere on the Xfinity Mobile site yet... orders are ~12 hours away!!!

The only existing customer deal I've seen mentioned is $200 from Xfinity Rewards.

Same for me :(
It is an hour before presale go live and nothing on Xfinity Rewards which matches my conversation with a customer service rep yesterday. They said it is going to take Xfinity 5-7 days to load the “deals” on Xfinity Rewards which means they won’t appear until next week. I said this is unacceptable because presale starts on Friday and the response was that they understand but it was “unexpected that there would be technical issues loading such a significant volume off offers but we value you as a Diamond rewards member and will make this right. Be assured.” 🙄🤮

I’ve been a loyal apologist of Xfinity for years. But this is quite possibly the straw to break the camel’s back. Not only am I going to leave Mobile, but I’m going to break the internet and TV contract I renewed last month in anticipation of the 16 release and go to Hulu live and Quantum Fiber for internet and end my 24 year customer relationship with Comcast.

That’s how pissed I am.

I don't have the $200 off Xfinity Rewards offer either (I'm a Platinum member).

I would definitely switch to Quantum Fiber if I could. My only home Internet alternative is AT&T, which I think is worse than Comcast.
