This thread seems cursed with all unobtanium cards.

For European items, you could try amazon.co.uk and amazon.de. They both have English, use your existing Amazon account, and will almost always ship to the USA if sold by Amazon. I buy non-US items this way all the time. I have found that most third party sellers will not ship to USA.

For Asian items you can try amazon.co.jp. You can also use this site in English. In my experience shipping to the USA is a little bit more hit and miss, even if sold by Amazon. Also for some reason it doesn't accept my existing Amazon account any more, but it used to. So I'm not sure what's up with that.

To switch an Amazon site to English, click on the little globe icon near the upper right.

Yup, mainland only it seems. Ordered mine in Austria, no issue for EU shipping.

Did not get the 460 with boot EFI to work (well, obvious, the MBP one is different and seem to eg. rely on eDP), i have the Katana now running with web driver on 10.12.5 perfectly fine - boot screens do work with a slightly modified MacVidCards 1070 EFI (heh, like he has copyright on that, right) on DP and HDMI but not on DVI. DVI works in OSX fine.

Can recommend the Katana, will get another one for my primary Pro.

Just wanted to drop in here that with 10.12.6 I was able to plug and play my Gigabyte RX560. I bought it a few weeks ago waiting for 10.12.6 and boom works out of the box. It's working flawlessly with no additional edits. I get about a half second of the loading bar and then to the user select screen shows up.

I had a 380 in there, and while a little faster it was giving me a lot of random screen artifacts. I'm going with stability over speed at this point and so far so good. Also, I can't find a rx580 in my local shops.

Strange, my 380 is completely stable so far. In fact, less minor problem than 280. Which 380 you were using? Just wonder if that particular model has compatibility issue.

Wanna chime in, thanks to h9826790's recommendation, my Gigabyte RX 460 4G, was very stable in my newly acquired 4.1->5.1 cMP, a very happy camper. The card is quiet and cool.

Well that was disappointing. Neither the wx5100 nor the wx7100 worked in my 5,1 mac. :(

Im not sure if I had to do something special, but I just put them in and tried to boot. Of course without flashing, no grey screen, but even after trying different configs (display port to mini display port, and display port to DVI) no go. :( These are not the cards you're looking for.

All I want for xmas is a new Mac Pro and/or a single slot card (that preferably supports 6 displays). :D

I just installed a WX 5100 in a Mac Pro 5,1 and it worked! Can confirm it is possible to do and it does run.

10.12.6. Has to tweak kext to match device ID but it works and works great. Grading in resolve in 4K and and finally getting real time playback.

Thanks LoudYeti. But not going to do kext tweaks. I need this to boot no mods at all. Would be more willing to get a firmware mod than to have to tweak the kext with every software update. But this is great info, thanks so much for sharing it and getting it to work!
