XM/SIRIUS App Out

OMG ew. It says i'm a basic streaming member and to visit some site, WTF IS THIS CRAP!

Gotta love Mel Karmazin, he really know's how to screw his customers.
 
um. its not available in canada?? but we have both sirius and XM here. what the hell.
 
Signed up for a 7 day, oh well. At least O&A are listed.

I gotta say this is one ugly app. Did you see the favorite heart? Ooof..

It's pretty sluggish too, crashed twice. Nice.

You don't understand why you don't get Stern?

Because you need to pay another 15 bucks for best of Sirius. Someone's gotta pay that 200 million dollar salary for hoo hoo Howey.

Well, some of us have Sirius, not XM. So stern would be there anyway. I deleted it however. I'm not going to pay a fee to use their sevice while I'm paying a fee to use their service. I'll just listen in the car and for free on my PC.
 
So let me get this straight.. I have to pay for both stereos that no longer get the signal so I'm assed out there even though I have a year scrip. Now I have to pay another monthly to listen on my phone even though I can listen online? Please.

I have a Sirius subscription with a radio in my car, premium internet radio, and now on the iPhone. Both in my car and on the internet radio I get Howard Stern so therefore I should get it on my iPhone. I have the everything package and get all channels except for the iPhone. Could be a bandwidth issue.

Sirius and XM merged months ago.
 
A simple solution to this:

Get tethering working on your iphone and just listen to it online on your laptop for no extra fee :p

Just loaded it. No Stern? Are you kidding me? I guess I'll have to use Pocket Tunes to get my Stern. Unbelievable!!!!:mad:

HOLY *****, FINALLY OPIE AND ANTHONY ON MY IPHONE. Been waiting since Day 1 of when i got my iphone!
 
Just played my computer internet stream and the phone at the same time, and its not the same thing. Wonder what the difference is.

Edit: The iphone streams about 2-3 minutes behind the regular broadcast.

Probably, there is a Shopping Cart Section in the app already.

This app honestly just made my day! Lets see how much of a battery drainer it is though.
 
I'm highly disappointed with this app. Here i have been waiting for them to put this out for the sole reason to listen to Howard Stern, and then they exclude his channel from it. What a joke!

Pocket Tunes is great WHEN it works. I still have trouble logging in and have not even bothered trying lately.

This app is only as good as its programming and if i'm paying extra to listen to Howard in my car and at home, i should have the luxury of listening to him on the go with this. This is the reason why satellite radio is doomed. Its unfortunate but its true. SiriusXM you guys need to get your act together.
 
Well.. i am REALLY happy i got pocket tunes when i did.. I mean, iw as hesitant, assuming tha Sirius would HAVE to put out a better app because, well, its THEIR service..

There is a trick to pocket tunes if you are having issues.. When you login on the sirius web page through that app, DO NOT click the blue GO button on the keypad.. instead, click the DONE buton and then the OK button on the sirius website's login page.. I was about the throw my phone out the window when it would not log me in.. but then i realized that the GO button the phone's keypad is what was doing it..

Also, when you open the channel you want in the web browser.. go to the NOW PLAYING and click on it again.. this will re buffer the stream and it will not crap out and turn off half way though.. NO IDEA why this works, but it does..

AS for the person who mentioned that XM and Sirius are merged.. yes they are.. BUT like the other guy said, the programming has not yet.. SO if you have a sirius account, you get the standard sirius channels, but you can pay EXTRA to get XM stuff on your sirius receive.. and visa versa.

I just can not believe that they do not allow stern on this app!! THAT in itself is bull.. I am interested to see what howard has to say about it.. While listening on my iphone - through pocket tunes

p.s. to anyone who has an existing sirius account.. you can get internet radio for free for about 4 months!! just ask for it. They have a 4 month trial for internet listening if you have one or more sirius standard accounts..

Its amazing what you can get for free if you ask.
