at least audio quality for this app is justified because of streaming.
Does anyone else think the audio compression from a regular sirius reciever sound horribly compressed? I mean my friend bought a reciever and it sounds horrible, and the one in my audi also sounds just as bad. I don't know.

There is a trick to pocket tunes if you are having issues.. When you login on the sirius web page through that app, DO NOT click the blue GO button on the keypad.. instead, click the DONE buton and then the OK button on the sirius website's login page.. I was about the throw my phone out the window when it would not log me in.. but then i realized that the GO button the phone's keypad is what was doing it..

Thanks for that tip. I just tried it and it finally works again.. I will delete the SiriusXM app now that i got PocketTunes working.

Yes the sound with the app is better than what you get on a regular XM/Sirius radio. On my online account, I have chosen the 128KPBS stream so that will sound better than what is broadcast.

My car came with Pioneer CD with XM and 5 speakers. I replaced the deck with a Pioneer DVD/CD/XM deck and sometimes I am impressed with the sound on XM but then there are times when I just know is missing allot treble and other sounds. I still love my XM even with the sound issues. It is the way XM/Sirius compresses the sound, they have to to offer that many channels. Sound takes a hit.

I suggest everyone download this app, just to give it one star. I can't believe they release this app without Stern on it.

I don't care about Stern. Everything I like is in this app, why would I rate it one star?

Well obviously it wouldn't apply to you then. My comment still stands for the majority of people that are upset about this, like me and many others.

Can't listen to lesbians riding sybians in my car now. I'm so pissed!

Downloaded it and got the free trial. And really see no reason to continue.

I'm a talk radio junkie, and was disappointed to see that a significant chunk of XM/Sirius talk stations are missing in the pc/iPhone clients. And most of the shows I listen to are available as podcasts (either free or subscription).

Lots of music selection, but between Pandora, Slacker and Last.fm, paying for music seems so 1990's.

And even with WiFi, the Sirius/XM app was constantly dropping and buffering. So, no sale.

F*** XM I was waiting for this app, I have a lifetime sub to XM everything, and they want me to pay more for premium online to listen on the iPhone, state I just have basic online. I can listen to all my channels on their website that I get on my radio. PANDORA FTW:D

BEET says download this shiet

Google "30 day free trial xm radio" and click on the first hit. Its an offer from Oprah for free Xm online for 30 days. I signed up and i'm using the iphone app. It works good but no Howard Stern. ;)

For those of us who don't care to listen to Gary the Retard and all the other rejects on Stern's show this app is excellent. I have a XM Inno portable player, but to be honest it is worthless unless you are in the open air. This app does what my 300 XM reciever should have done years ago. ESPN Radio whenever I want... awesome!

FM has ESPON radio whenever you want it too.

I've wasted money on various apps while waiting for the official release... now, no Stern. Not to mention they put Starplayr out of business for this piece of *****? Just when you think Sirius 'gets it' they pull something like this.

Sirius XM App

I for one am glad the app is finally here. Downloaded it with no problems.
It sound very good over wireless at home and better than I hoped on 3G.

I don't care about Howard Stern, I would like Radio Classics though.:)

Does the app get ESPN (140) and Fox Sports (142)? That's pretty much all I listen to ('The Herd' and 'Petros & Money' are THE sports talk shows to check out).

My wife loves XM in my Pilot and wants it in her Accord. This will be good bargaining chip if it streams pretty well in the car.

ESPN = YES
FOX Sports = NO

If you have Orb Live then go download usirius or uxm. Each online station has a url that can be added to your list of internet radio feeds at orb.com. With sirius you get all their online channels including both Howard channels and I've never had the app crash and only once or twice has the stream stopped to buffer. Also you can use ootunes for xm but I've never tried it since I have sirius.

If someone only has a Canadian itunes account if they are sent the US sirius app will it still work? If so how would one get it? I have a US sirius account and am still curious as to the performance.

Has anyone tried calling into the stern show this morning to complain? They should still be on live
