Yes. The white point is warm which I don’t mind actually, it’s the fact that greys look *so* green. This forum is one of the worst offenders actually. The contrast is also notably lower.

I’ve never once had such a show stopping issue with an iPhone, but it’s… real bad. I’d happily take the LCD display from my work 8 Plus levels of bad.
What do you mean by low contrast?

Of course, because of the OLED tech, it’s technically “infinite contrast”- what I’m referring to is most evident in the appearance of light text on dark backgrounds and vice versa- it’s hard to describe but very noticeable looking side by side.

I am unable to get the iPhone 12 Pro vs X screen comparison on video, the camera corrects the white balance too much and minimizes the difference, even though it's plainly evident in person. I even asked my mother if she could notice a difference (she barely even notices if she has Night Shift on half the time) and got a resounding "yes, it's very obvious" - so, I feel a little less crazy! 12 Pro going back, and praying this issue isn't present in next year's model. A little worried that it's just the way things are from here on out, but holding out hope. I know these threads are a bit of a meme and have been around every year for ages, but compared to my X and 8 Plus (okay, I know LCD isn't a fair comparison) it's just night and day.

LTPO in the next Pro should force them to use all Samsung panels, right? Do we know whether LG or Samsung shipped the panels for the 6.1" Pro this year?

Multiple reports are reporting it’s Samsung and LG developing the screen panels this year.

I pray to god we get crispy clear/rich/white color iPhone screen.

My only worry is that the 6.1” pro may not get 120 Hz if that battery size leak is true. The pro max got a huge bump, the 6.1 not so much. So either it’s a PM exclusive feature, or the 6.1 might have notably worse battery life next year.

Is the yellow tint referring to the warmer color temperature that is equal brightness to the 11 pro? Or the screen that has really low brightness.

I returned mine, but when I had it the brightness was fine, it was just the temperature that was wonky.

You post so much on this issue, I can’t tell what you’re getting at.

My 12 has a yellow screen. It also has a multicolor shift when I tilt it.

The level of brightness should not have anything to do with the crappy colors.

And on the brightness front, I can’t see the screen outside when it’s sunny.

Now, after having said all that, there is no rational reason for you to ask me any questions about my experience.

So don’t ask me any questions. I’ve described my issues. They are what they are.

Yellow Tint (in my scenario) = The screen color looks like Nightshift / True Tone is turned on when both are turned off.

Color was compared to 10+ other 12's in store. The other phones compared did not have this issue.

Brightness is correct.

I would describe my issue the same way you are describing yours, except after comparing to around 4 others in store they all seemed to have the issue, leading me to believe it’s an intentional tuning.

You got a picture though?

Hello, I just purchased a 12 pro yesterday and experiencing a yellow tint. Will Apple Store fix this issue.

For the record, mine was a case where it was very clearly noticeable next to my X and I still couldn’t capture it on camera effectively.

bring it back, wait iPhone 13 comes out in 2 months
Why? The next iPhone will be like all new iPhones. Some spec bumps and a few new features. What makes you think the screens will be any different from the current models as far as color and calibration go?
