I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s experiencing this. its Kinda distracting but only on a white background, for now I’ll be keeping it. Not going to return it then wait 2 months for a replacement.
Checked in store, 3 out of 3 13 (plain and Pro) were darker on the right side. I can also see it from photos posted on this thread. I think they're all like this but few notice, there's no reason to get an exchange because it will be the same

So I could possibly end up with a worse panel 🤦‍♂️😂

Did you see any murky whites and red tint on them display units?

Oh they will inspect it. Macro view dude. I’m glad I was able to get a good unit. No scratches or issues at all. Dude, what are the odds you getting a faulty unit. You were cheering for this iPhone so much.
@LFC2020 should have asked Tim Cook for an executive pass to the factory so he could see his phone being made in such pristine condition, make sure that he can cherry pick the screen. Lol

Don’t give me ideas mate 🤔😂 Might call him and tell him to make sure they cut my panel exactly dead Centre from the wafer. 😂

Apparently the panels cut close to the edge aren’t that great.

This will be my first and last replacement, unless there is a major defect. 🤦‍♂️

Been using iPhones since the 3GS days, never played the panel lottery.

Tint they were fine, whites also seemed fine. But I was mostly checking the 13s. The Max I checked briefly seemed more uniform but if I don’t remember well as I didn’t check it extensively

That's BS. I remember my first yellow gate. Before even true tone was in Tim's happy sack. The iPhone 4S.

As long as it doesn't come from Adelaide, I'll be happy. 😂 I won't be comparing the new one. 🤦‍♂️ unless there is a major defect. 😁😂🤦‍♂️

What got my OCD going even more, every person that saw my screen, including apple support and a worker, agreed it was trash, had to return it after that. 🤦‍♂️😂

Honestly i think it's the same old story for a long time… i joined the panel lottery since I bought an iphone x having bad experience. This year i decided to upgrade to 13PM and although i was happy at the beginning i started to notice a bad uniformity of the display with 1/3 of the panel which has a pink tint compared to the other 2/3 which is very annoying... in this thread some time ago i noticed a post where reference was made to the serial numbers of the display but this thing was only talked about on the iphone 12 series due to the too yellow screens.
Last year we had two samsung and lg suppliers, who supplied apple with these serial numbers and from what I was able to learn:

G9N (good quality samsung panel)

GVC (good quality lg panel)

G9P (low quality samsung panel)

GH (poor quality lg panel)

the strange thing I noticed though is that the iphone x, xs, 11 pro, and even 13 series are also subject to this display classification.
From what i could see the few G9N displays that i had in my hands were much more beautiful than others that had yellow tints, pink tints, bad uniformity, etc... strangely in fact my iphone 13PM has the display that starts with G9P but it is much better than the crap I've seen in those years.
I think apple is aware of this but keeps buying panels A and B to maximize its profit, because in the end most users don't notice it.

To check the serial number of the panel just do a sysdiagnose: press simultaneously vol +, vol-, power and release immediately, the iphone should vibrate. Then go to the analysis data and search for sysdiagnose. Export to file and unzip the archive, open pages and look for the iodevicetree file in the ioreg folder, once opened find this word: raw-panel-serial-number.
Thank you very much. Mine has the G9P but it’s quite good. No yellow or red tints etc.
Maybe Samsung has managed the issues..

I came back from the Apple store after stopping off at
https://istanbulgrillfl.com/ I had no choice but to come off low carb on this occasion.

I couldn't find anything untoward on the iPhone 13 pro max screens brightness wise. They were all equally dim 🤣

Any red tint though? 🤦‍♂️
Hard to tell under the store light. They wouldn't allow me access to their dark cupboard 🤣🤣

I’ve checked 3 phones and they’ve all had some sort of red tint under complete dark conditions on low brightness in a gray screen. All has it some in different spots. I think it’s just a defect of oled. I think I just have to accept if. Playing the panel/screen lottery sucks. Under most normal conditions you don’t notice it. I do wish I never saw this thread and looked for it. No screen will be perfect.

Nice!!! What’s the wait time for you? You check out the colors while you were there? Sticking with silver?
Don't know. Didn't look into it. I'll hold off until the dust settles stock wise.
Yes. I liked the silver. Funny you say this. Because the guy at the Apple store wanted to know why I was returning it, he assumed it was because I wanted a different color. I then pointed to the frame ding and he immediately said sorry and said he'd tell Uncle Tim about it. Lol.

Apple always says 4-5 weeks, they end up getting them out to people in 2-3 weeks, get your order in now, reckon you’ll have it in 2-3 weeks.

Apple always come though in the end and over deliver.

Or just wait till dust settles like he said. Apple stores are getting some stock as I just seen my local apple store receive Sierra Blue Pro max 256 GB storage size and they received 18 in stock. Lol

Hey everyone. Wife and I got a couple of 13 Pro max’s and when compared to my XS Max, the 13s screen looks more “yellow”. Not this could be because my XS max is too blue. But wanted to share and see what you guys think.

Let me know if you see any uniformity problem with the 13s or if it does look too yellow. Thanks!
