OK - first, I'm sorry, you are right, that was an intentionally snarky response. Unnecessary and definitely not a good response around a holiday that's supposed to be for gratitude. :(

Second, your response here gets a "yeah!" from me - I suggested this somewhere else in the last day or so. It seems so easy: just tweak the display so there's a setting to toggle between a graphic display and a numerical display. OK, can't have both - no problem. But there's enough room in the corner there, it seems, to offer users a choice.

This discussion is making me wonder why I really want that numerical display, especially because I understand that these indicators are not all that accurate in the first place. Definitely some kind of security-blanket thing going on.

No worries. Personally I haven’t had to worry about battery life with this phone. It’s been phenomenal. Maybe that’s why it’s a non issue for me.

Have a happy thanksgiving!

Yeah, I have had zero issues with my 7 (still in the house) and have been surprised at how good (better) the X is. My power phobias may come from powering amateur radios on battery power. Keydown on 100W uses power in a hurry.

And you and your crowd as well. :turkey:

Profmatt, thanks - good read. You got me curious enough that I sought out and bought one today. With the extended return period now in effect I should have plenty of time to figure out whether it's a keeper for me or not.

It certainly is an amazing rethink. My only real reservation right now, which is highly personal, is that I am really disliking having the control center in the upper right rather than on the bottom edge. That said, it's only been a few hours!

One solution I've come across for this is using Assistive Touch set with one button to open the Control Center and positioning it within reach. I had it set for about five minutes and it works great but I ended up getting rid of it because it took an icon spot on my home screen (too organized to have it over another element) and I realized how little I actually need CC.

I totally agree. I love this phone. Here's a link to a review that is a little different from the usual. It's from a "beauty blogger" and not a tech person but some down-to-earth info.

If I were you I’d snatch up one of these Needified wireless chargers. They’re having a huge sale right now. I have one on my bedside table and just ordered another one for my desk in the office.

The one I ordered earlier I found on Facebook and was free with $9.97 shipping. Can’t find the link though. $20 is still a solid deal.

Yeah but they don’t work and Needified customer service won’t respond to MANY messages.

Really? I've had this one for a while and I use it at the office in case it gets stolen. It's been 30 days and still going. Though will see how long it lasts.

I have the mophie at home next to the bed and love it
