Some people only use 1 tab at a time. I only dream of that. Power users love fav icons

The 'suppress tabs' option isn't as good as glims. I still have to scroll around (too many tabs)

when i enable "show icon on tab bar" it will work after i open a page and restart my browser - just opening a new page doesn't display the icon.. anyone else having that issue with safaristand?

I think that's how it's supposed to work.

SafariStand could stand a little documentation.

SafariStand looks promising but as of now, it works very unreliably. Favicon appears only after Safari restart (as you're saying) or when I open a tab from the external location (i.e.. from a mail client), but NOT when you navigate inside Safari. Also, when the favicon is loaded and you change the site, the favicon keeps the same and doesn't reflect the updated URL :(

Developer has released an update, issue should be addressed.

Not a lot of documentation about this plugin. So I installed EasySIMBL, ticked the box to enable it, dragged the Safaristand bundle to it and ticket the box next to it as well.
Relaunched Safari, but no favicon. Anything I missed?

You should see "Stand" up on your Safari menu bar. Click that then click the settings option. In there check the box to show favicons.

Thanks, unfortunately I don't see it. Do I need to reboot?

Thanks!

So amazing. THANK YOU SAFARI STAND!

Having a bit of the wrong favicon issue/won't change when navigating to a new page, but anything is better than nothing. So much clearer, and the favicons seem to be shaded to somewhat blend with the new safari colorscheme - or lack of one. I really like the minimal vibe Safari has, but it's hard to argue with the productivity that icon-recognition brings.

Now if only there were a way to pin tabs I'd be totally stoked about my recent switch to safari.

Haha, after spending days looking for tab manipulating plugins for safari, or safari-esque skins for chrome I'm happy to settle on one of the options.

Yeah, I was kind of hoping for that as well ... It's a neat idea, but not being able to replace those colored compasses means poor execution.

10.10.1 turns off easysimbl so make sure you turn it on again

all safari stand needs now is 2 glims features:
-compress all tabs (up to 80!) to fit on screen like glims or even firefox
-option to create tab on far right instead of next to current tab

And pinned tabs would be an awesome addition but I guess I'm dreaming

What exactly do the "Action Message Enabled" and "Improve Path Popup" options do?

This is exactly the kind of comment that has no care for usability and only cares about look (as i stated in my first post).

Completely agree! There is no way to see all your tabs at once at a glance

Not true. Pinch and you get all of your tabs + a preview of the page. Unless you count the split second to perform the pinch gesture as not a "glance". This probably has been said before...
