What should I be looking for? :confused:

Any plist files that might have been put there by the driver. Typically user-settings are stored as a file in the users home account. Look in the Library/Application Support and see if there are any sub-folders or files that might be related, try a spotlight search on the folder looking at the content of the files, you might come up with an editable prefs file.

Hi all,

I can confirm that by visiting the Legacy Drivers page and installing "Driver 6.2.0-w4 for Mac OS X v. 10.7, 10.6 & 10.5 (Intel)" & setting Preferences pane to 32-bit that Wacom Prefs works.

But, I am not able to remap my Intuos 2 pen buttons. I prefer right-click and double-click to be reversed. Perhaps an older driver will help.

Not working for me here either...

I have an older tablet, the GD-1212-U (USB), and I was using it successfully with the older MacBook (10.7.5). The driver I was using was version 6.1.5-2.

When I upgraded to a Mac Mini, I had some luck with the tablet, even occasional use of the preference pane to set it up. With two 24" screens connected, I had the tablet limited to one in order to maintain ratio.

Then I updated the OS to Yosemite, and all has gone downhill. If a driver is installed, I do have pen access. One screen has to be off in order to keep the ratio to one. The pref pane won't open. I've tried installing other versions of drivers, with no luck (either it won't open or it's a mismatch).

Ultimately, I'm looking to go up to a Cintiq eventually, when the pennies roll in... I hope I don't have to deal with similar issues at that time. In the meantime, the old tablet is still hooked up to the old MacBook, a secondary machine just for that sort of work.

Recover some setting changes Wacom Graphite

Thank-you, kurosov, your comment gave me a clue.
Only the Prefpane is broken so...
My goal was to change the barrel buttons to both be Right-Click.
I opened the com.wacom.wacomtablet.prefs file in TextWrangler.
(The .prefs file is in the ~/Library/Preferences folder.)
The Functions that seem to be the defaults are:
Function 1 = Left Click - assigned to the tip
Function 14 = Left Click also? - assigned to the eraser
Funtion 4 = Left Click also? - assigned to barrel2 (top barrel)
Function 3 = Right Click - assigned to barrel (bottom barrel)
I changed the barrel2 function to 3, restarted my mac and now the stylus barrel buttons are both Right Click.
It is a pain to have to manually edit the prefs file but I will now be able to use the tablet a while longer.
I hope this helps someone else.
Graphire (no number, original) on Yosemite beta 3.

I'm on Graphite 4 and I've upgraded to El Capitan 10.11.1. I'm getting the 'could not load Bamboo preferences' message. Any idea what I can change in the text file so that my laptop screen is mapped to just the top left quarter of the tablet? I'm guessing it's this bit but I'm afraid to mess with it because I don't really know what I'm doing:

<TabletInputArea type="map">
<Extent type="map">
<X type="integer">10206</X>
<Y type="integer">7422</Y>
<Z type="integer">0</Z>
