I just noticed people are selling AVPs on ebay for $3,650 all the way up to $7,300. Target buyer must be people outside the US.
Even that doesn’t work right nowPorn
Magic Trackpad only for pointing devices? That seems like a weird limitation. We’re in the weird phase where Apple really wants everyone to get used to their new input methods of choice before kludging together older approaches
Not really new, Jobs didn't allow them to put arrow keys on the original Mac's keyboard because he wanted to force users to use the mouse.
Bring out your e-waste! The furnaces demand more e-waste!The Vision Pro is not compatible with older Apple keyboards that use removable batteries.
It seems only one 4K screen can be virtualized with AVP, other (compatible!) apps can appear as separate windows. That won't work for me I'm afraid. I'm interested in the AVP but only if I can get at least 2 separate virtual 4K displays. The floating apps seem like a gimmick to me and a gamble: what's the chance my current and future favourite apps will support to be floated within AVP? I am looking for some extensive portable display solution, the AVP is promising on that matter but I might need to wait for AVP 2 at least. I use my MBP mainly for development and for IT/DPO management. Not for entertainment, nor gaming.your Mac must have macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
f you have a Mac with Apple silicon, it can appear in Apple Vision Pro at resolutions up to 4K. If your Mac has an Intel processor, it can appear at resolutions up to 3K.

All Made for iPhone Bluetooth controllers can connect to the Vision Pro, including Xbox and PlayStation controllers. Apple says that any controller that works with iPadOS will work with Vision Pro.
Are you saying this statement is incorrect?
I'm just saying..What's your point? That "barely any sold, so it's a flop" ... ?
Prepare to eat your words. This slower start was expected and exactly what Apple planned for.
The problem is that those keyboards came out 20 years ago and use Bluetooth 2.0. The Magic Keyboard, which uses BT3.0, is supported so that seems to be the cutoff point. Since we are now at BT5, there are enough differences that I can see why BT2 might not have what it takes.“The Vision Pro is not compatible with older Apple keyboards that use removable batteries.”
Wouldn’t want anyone using a device with great longevity that can easily have its batteries replaced now would we?
Which is the e-waste? The 20 year old keyboard or all of the disposbile batteries it has gone through?Bring out your e-waste! The furnaces demand more e-waste!
Which games(s)? Every one I’ve played so far uses eye tracking…Attempting to use the few games that are in the App Store today, and I definitely feel the lack of native controllers . Would be great if I could use my questcontrollers . Hand tracking has no precision.
After spending time with the AVP it’s beyond obvious this device is meant for more than just gaming. If you want an eye-console, get the quest. This thing is a computer.Well Vision Pro supposed to have its own controller just like other VR/AR devices for gaming which is the main source for VR/AR consumer market. Without it, it will be limited by mobile games.
Fruit ninja and synthriders which look amazing but the controls are not tight like on quest at allWhich games(s)? Every one I’ve played so far uses eye tracking…
It's another AR/VR and Do you use a computer without mouse and keyboard? After spending time with the AVP it’s beyond obvious this device is meant for more than just gaming. If you want an eye-console, get the quest. This thing is a computer.
I totally disagree. What you are saying is using Mac without mouse and keyboard.Apple did the right thing not making native controllers for the headset. That's what sets them apart from the others. Being able to use your eyes/hands is a huge deal. That said, the VP still has a lot of room for improvement so hand/eye control will only get better with future hardware/software updates.
I've owned many headsets and I hate native controllers. The future of headsets needs to be based on eye/hand/voice controls.
This one can be used with a keyboard and trackpad, but yes, no mice. It's another AR/VR and Do you use a computer without mouse and keyboard?
If Mac requires keyboard and mouse, AR/VR requires a hardware controller just like Xbox and PS with console controllers. Beside, eye tracking and gesture aren't great in terms of long period of uses and easy to get tired. This one can be used with a keyboard and trackpad, but yes, no mice.
