Once you go black, there is no going back! Jet Black and slate titanium both look very nice.in fairness, there should have been a black option in the first place. And Apple probably knew that.
Got me too!(Sept 9 Keynote) Me: Color only upgrade for my Apple Watch Ultra. I'll pass.
(Sept 20 Availability) Me: Absolutely no way on that color only upgrade. What a joke.

I really wish they’d get rid of the weird orange colouring though. They got rid of the ring on the normal model so it’s weird it’s still there on the ultra. The new colour and the new bespoke metal strap give the Ultra a whole new vibe, though. This combo is very bad-ass. 😎
Don't you make me justify a similar accident, knowing, that I am not the only one... 😇They get me every time as well. Somehow I accidentally bought an S10 the other day and I quite like it. Also my eldest gets my S9 so she's happy and will do the washing up for the next 2 months 🤣

Same goes for the big orange button
I think it will next year. I think it will be bigger than the series 10.Nice watch. What I don’t get is why the Ultra 2 doesn’t have as big a screen as the Series 10.

There is more screen real estate on the Series 10 and I would want the Ultra 2 to have that two.The difference is negligible, and the Ultra 2 still has watch faces that show more information on the screen.
Overall, I have seen people claim that the Series 10 is somehow more technologically advanced than the Ultra. It’s not, the watches are effectively the same after the update to WatchOS 11. Ultra 2 has speakers, sleep apnea detection, bright screen, strong battery life, etc. The screen size is effectively the same. The Series 10 does have the better viewing angles, but that is a very small thing.
I won't be surprised if the S9 and S10 is the same chip other than differ in size but no change in performance. Apple has been changing chip names since the S6-->S7-->S8 without significantly change in performance. There is more screen real estate on the Series 10 and I would want the Ultra 2 to have that two.
I was looking at the comparison chart and it looks like the Ultra 2 has the S9 chip and the Series has the S10. Again, I don't understand why Apple didn't upgrade the Ultra 2 to the S10 chip. Oh well....
Yeah, I remember the upgrade from the S4 to the S5 and it really it was just a rename of the chip. I don’t know if anyone’s done any performance tests on speed difference between the series 10 watch and the ultra 2 butI won't be surprised if the S9 and S10 is the same chip other than differ in size but no change in performance. Yeah, they've been using black (off and on) as a "premium" for a while now. On Macs, the black mouse, keyboard and trackpad all cost more than the gray ones, and the MacBook Pro only offers black on the higher-spec models. I don't recall, but I think the old polycarbonite MacBooks may have cost more in black than in white. (Interestingly the AWP doesn't cost any more in black, but they did hold back the color a while into the lifespan of the watch model, I guess as a way to goose sales without redesigning it.)in fairness, there should have been a black option in the first place. And Apple probably knew that.
Ah, yes, I remember! You are right! The old polycarbonate MacBooks were indeed more expensive in black than in white!Yeah, they've been using black (off and on) as a "premium" for a while now. Car companies do this as well. I think the justification is that the higher models have "better" paint, but I suspect a lot of times it's the same thing, just holding back certain colors to charge a premium.
