Are all the Mac Book Pros able to have 4GB of RAM? I have the low end one before they recently updated and I forget what it had said. Thanks.

Wow it's sold out already. But if you order now the price will still be that, and the next batch comes in around June 23rd. I just called them.

Only the new MBP's released this month can make use of 4GB of RAM.

Already installed the 4GB kit from OWC today when I received shipment of my 15" 2.4GHz MBP. Without a doubt, you can never have enough ram. :)

are these rams similar in specs to the stock ram in the macbook pro? in terms of clock latency?

My Patriot ram that I ordered from there arrived today. Don't forget that in addition to the $20 USD international shipping, there's a customs charge.
My COD (charge on delivery) turned out to be $34.34 CDN, which made the total purchase to be about $240 USD. Just a little reminder to you, since I also forgot about customs :(

Isn't 4GB RAM way too much? I've heard people say over n over "You can never have enough sex or RAM" (ok, i made up the first part :D). But on a more serious note, 4GB of RAM?! What are guys doing that you need 4GB RAM, keyword here being need and not WANT ;).

And guaranteed RAM is available from reputable dealers within Canada for CAN$260 +shipping and tax, so the savings isn't really there.

I bit, 2x2gb incoming.

My mbp hasn't even shipped yet and I've already spent over 500 in accessories ;)

so its safe to buy from outpost? How good are their "lifetime" warranties? Thanks

Well generally, Outpost is not offering a lifetime warranty, it is the manufacturer. After some period, Outpost will just refer you to the manufacturer to deal with yourself. As you can guess, YMMV depending on who built it, and as noted cross-border warranty can be a problem. Outpost do not seem to state a DOA policy -- that is how soon you have to return a defective on arrival product, and who pays shipping.

Warranty Information
Please write to Fry's Main Office for warranty information on products purchased at Frys.com:

Thank you!

Most manufacturers will not honor warranties for items shipped overseas or to Canada.
