I have mine, really. MacBook Pro with lots of RAM, Logitech VX Revolution, decent monitor, 1TB of external hard drives, and good sounding speakers.

I dont know what mine is.

At the moment, I'm saving indefinitely for a new Mac, but I don't want one of the current line up. Guess we'll have to see what Sir Steve gives us in the next year.

because liking macs must mean you should hate all things PC-ish, even if they'd otherwise be cool. right?

no, because they look like the regular mouse and keyboard you get with a pc.. If there was a keyboard for pc that i like i wouldn't say this. Like the optimus maximus (i know it's also avaible for mac).

The photo didn't remind of it :p And how much I love the optimus maximus, i still find it's too bulky, and prefer the apple keyboard :D

I'd love a 2.4GHz 15" MBP with 4GB RAM and no iSight.

Also, an iPhone.

And an Air to swat people over the head with.

And a 23" ACD.

And a computer exactly like Lord Blackadder's.

I believe my dream setup would be similar to this:

Five 30" ACDs on his desk, and 12 30" Dells on the wall. Of course he's running Windows on everything, which is lame...I'd have to have the uber Mac-Pro at the desk.

I'm starting to place some of my income aside to build up a nice budget to get my dream setup.

Current setup is 24" Al iMac base with 4GB ram, and a PB G4 on the road.

By the end of the year my setup will be Mac Pro 3.0Ghz, 4-8GB, 1TB in one HDD sled, with backups in the others that will come later, NVIDIA 8800GT, and, to start out, 1 30" ACD, which will be accompanied by another in the future.

The RAM upgrade will come after purchase.

Then for the road I'm looking at a 1.8 MBA without the SSD, no use - too expensive for such a non-powerhouse-of-a-computer.

I swear I just posted my dream setup in another dream setup thread, but here we go

iMac 24" with everything top notch. (But with a REAL GPU)
MacBook Air (1.8 SSD model)
iPhone 3G 16GB

You could save money on your dream system by making a few compromises. Instead of ordering iWork, try using neo office, which is a free office suite. That should bring the price down to a more reasonable level.

;);):D

But Neo office is so slow (probably not on that machine)
And do not understand me wrong, i'm not going to buy this.

A 20" iMac will do me, I don't mind which one (although the higher spec one is preferable).

I just love that machine to bits, and having used Logic on my friend's 24" WhiMac the other day, I want a desktop more than anything at the moment...
