My wife and I have been playing to death the port of the boardgame Smallworld to the iPad. It's a wonderful implementation of a boardgame and I look forward to many more games like this.

Over at boardgamegeek.com they have a growing list of boardgame ports for the iPad.
Awesome. Thanks for that. I spent way too much money on boardgames a couple years ago after discovering boardgamegeek but I always thought board games on a mobile device would be cool.

I just picked up Smallworld, after reading your post. I also noticed some Reiner Knizia games are on the AppStore but just for the iPhone.

The iPad is a perfect device for board games. I hear that Catan is coming soon to the iPad too and also Carcassonne.

I like the pinball HD game. 2.99 isn't a bad price. There's not a lot of great games yet but they will be coming I'm sure. I keep hoping for Risk.

Dont have an iPad yet, but one game which I'm most certainly going to buy (assuming I dont buy the iPhone version instead) is Mirrors Edge. Other than that, I pretty much have played all the games on the iPhone already so probably wont be getting the iPad version for them.

Also if you havent already played this game to death on other platforms, Plants vs Zombies is an excellent game for the iPad. There are a lot of good games available on the iPad but it all depends on what type of games you like to play and if you already have the iPhone version of the game or not.

Arn has another blog and forums for all iPhone and ipad games btw (in case you didnt know). Check them out..

For people who like Civ: the iPad version of Civ Revolutions is fun. A game takes a little over an hour on Chieftain setting.

Racing ( NFS Shift, Real Racing )
Geometry Wars
Plants vs Zombies
Angry Birds HD
FPS ( N.O.V.A. HD, Brothers in Arms )

10 Pin Shuffle: Classic barroom shuffleboard on those long hardwood tables, and bowling on that shuffleboard table, sweet. Very realistic.
Can play peer to peer with iphones and touches.
And the pinball and Let's Golf.

I find Enigmo much more fun on the iPad than on the iPhone or Mac. And, you can design your own levels on the iPad version, which is neat. Enigmo, along with all of Pangea's games, is on sale right now.

I just picked up Enigmo for the iPad based on your post. Thanks! I'm really enjoying the game. It reminds me of Incredible Machines and other similar type of games, but I love the fact, like you said, it has a level editor. Nice 3D graphics for a puzzler.

^^ Saw this last night and was tempted but couldn't find any reviews or videos of it running on the iPad. What is the framerate like? It looked very choppy on the iPhone version.

Same here. I really wanted to check it out, but I couldn't find any reviews or videos of it on YouTube. But I am really considering brothers in arms instead of nova.
