Now that we've been able to see the official designs of the new iPhone models, which ones are your favorites?
I'm very curious to see which ones end up being the most popular. I know the iPhone 4 is one of the most loved ones, but you never know.

Personally, my favorite so far is the iPhone 5s. A refinement over the 5 thanks to the new look of Touch ID and I prefer Space Gray over Slate. It has a very unique look to this day.
In second place probably the X. It's not perfect, but it's heading in the right direction and once Apple iterates on it I think it might become the best.
Third place probably the 8. I love the glass back and it feels more refined than most other designs (I guess that's what happens when you subtly change it for 4 years!). The aluminum band hides the antenna breaks better than the stainless steel band of the X too and looks cleaner.

Bonus: the one I like the least is the original. It looks chubby and the plastic band on the back is pretty bad.

overall was the 5s (even though i didn't get it when it came out). i know it was better than my iPhone 5 but loved the slate color of my iPhone 5. can't beat the original design. last i would say out of the current design (6, 6s, 7 & 8 "style") it's the jet black 7. the only phone that made it look different even though it was still the same type of design between them four. i think the X can change that but we'll have to see.

i do remember going from the original iPhone to the 3GS was like night and day in terms of performance. it was super fast - now slow as heck but a great phone at the time.

I found the 5S is my favorite design overall. It had a nice blending of glass and metal in a beautifully done body that was just about perfect in every way; and it is rather timeless. I don't look at the 5S and go "Oh that is so old and hideous I can't believe our phones look like that" even today it's a beautiful design. I mean you look at the Original iPhone or the 3GS it just looks so dated. And the 4 got close but still the old home button rather shows its age terribly so. I never honestly cared much for the look of the 6/7/8 I hate the camera bump even more so being in the corner; and the X just doesn't feel....as polished I guess as I would have expected.

Hey OP, edit the poll to combine "iPhone 5" and "iPhone 5S", unless you specifically set those apart to reflect the contrast between spacey grey's black/grey tone.

Aesthetics, 4/4S.

Mind, no 5c? I really like the design and comfort on that one although would've liked black, navy blue or forest green color options with maybe a matte or satin rubber finish.

4 is best looking, but overall design goes to 5 and 5S.

On a different subject, combine, 6, 6s, 7, and 8.

My third choice would be 5C (which isn't in the list
Damn, I knew I was forgetting something.

Actually yeah I set them apart because of that and also the home button being different (even the flash shape if we wanna be precise)

I personally find the home button design enough of a differentiation IMO. In my eyes it can date a design rather easily now days with the little white square in the middle.

I think you should have combined many of these poll options.

I realize there are subtle differences, but for the most part the overall design is the same. No one is going to say that the iPhone 7 design is substantially different from the 6s for example.

By combining the options, you'd get a better feel for which overall design people preferred the most. There are only 6 major iPhone designs that have been released including the X. That said, I think it's a bit premature to include the X in the poll as well since 99.9% of us have never touched one.

iPhone
3G/3Gs
4/4s
5/5s
6/6s/7/8
X

Edit: For example, at the time of writing this, if you add up the votes for the 6/6s/7/8, that design is currently winning your poll. But you would never know that since you listed them as separate options in the poll.

All Apple has to do is take the size of the 5 make it edge to edge OLED and call it a day.

That would probably be the perfect-sized phone! I can't stand the plus sizes. WAY too big for me. The iPhone 7/8/X is the absolute largest I can tolerate personally.

But I find the iPhone 6 design to be way worse than the 8, and possibly the second worst design overall, while as I said the 8 is my third favorite. The differences might be few, but they are pretty important in my opinion.

How so? If the same case fits each model (except for the camera cutout), how is it not the same basic design?

Well for one the camera isn't aligned to the radius of the corner, and the antenna bands ruin everything. It also has recessed volume buttons which I'm not a fan of

The 4 is by far my most favorite design. The build quality is just stellar on those things, with that extra heft to give it a premium feel.

The 6 was a great hommage to the original iPhone but it was too light.

1) 6/6s/7/8
2) 3G/3GS
3) Original

Never understood the love for the 4/4S/5/5S designs. Not ugly but not as beautiful as the 3 in my list...IMO of course.

I really liked the iPhone 6 design when it launched. I like the rounded corners and it felt really comfortable in my hand with the 4.7 inch display.
