So... since no one answer my question, I will try again.

Is video sound playable in the background? I saw a video saying that video on Photo app play sound on the background if you quit the app, but how about safari video?
The answer it that it depends. In places where the standard HTML 5 player is present you have two choices: You can enable PiP which keeps the video and sound playing anywhere you go, or you can exit safari then use control center and press play which will enable the audio only. However too many places (I'm looking at you, YouTube) interfere with the functionality (JavaScript?) in which case neither work.

can you use 3rd party mail, weather, maps, and music apps to if you delete the stock versions?
You can use them but you can't replace the defaults I.e. Mailto: links will fail if you remove the stock app, no matter what other client you install. That may or may not change later in the beta cycle. I personally think it won't but I've been known to be wrong ;)

Old thread I know but had a question about iOS 10 and I thought this would be the best place to ask - is there a way to add a Mail message to Reminders? As it is now, the Mail app in OS X lets you share an email to a new reminder, and a link to bring you back to the email gets attached to that reminder. Similarly, on iOS 9, you can open an email and tell Siri "remind me about this" and she'll create a nice new reminder for you with a link to the email attached as well, and it's virtually identical to what the OS X mail app would generate. However, as it is now, on iOS there's no way to attach an email to a reminder without Siri, and I'm hoping that's changed. Even though there is no share sheet icon in Mail, if you highlight text in an email, you'll get a "share" option alongside "define" and "copy," and I'm hoping the "share" button will now show the Reminders icon (it currently has Messages, Notes, and other apps but no Reminders), or that there's some other way to do this without Siri. Any help checking this would be appreciated!

I don't see any way in the current iOS 10 beta to create a reminder linked to an email other than by using Siri. I too would love to have this option and am not sure why it hasn't been added.

Thanks for checking this! Wicked annoying that it hasn't been added yet...sigh. I'll send feedback just in case it helps.

On a similar note, any idea if there's a way to set it so that you only get mail notifications from an iCloud email account's inbox? As it is now I can only get notifications for everything (including the junk folder) or no mail notifications at all. On OS X I believe there's a way to fine tune which folders give you a notification, but there's none on iOS (at least for iCloud email accounts). It'd be awesome if I could set it so that new messages in the Inbox only give notifications...

Thanks again :)

Is 3D Touch more prominent in IOS 10? More so than it was in iOS 9. Also does it seem as tho Apple are trying to do away with the home button by putting in the raise to wake style feature?

I was wondering this too, since from what I've read (and I'm not running iOS 10 myself, mind you) it does seem like 3D Touch is more prominent. I'm wondering how functionality of 3D Touch actions (like adding widgets to the widget pane thingy) will be reproduced on devices (I.e. my brand new iPad) that don't yet have that functionality.

Also! Just thought of another one! :D Anybody know if it's finally possible to mark videos as watched in the Videos app, or for the Watched status to sync from iTunes? You can't mark them as watched natively on iOS and when you mark a video as watched in iTunes, that status change almost never syncs to iOS...

Sorry for all the questions guys, but I just thought of another one! I know that the widgets pane is very different in iOS 10, and I'm wondering if it's now possible to keep the battery widget visible all the time, even when you're not connected to a Bluetooth device. I know you can have the percentage in the menu bar, but I can get kind of obsessive about always looking at it and watching the numbers slowly tick down, haha. It can get a bit distracting to me. (I know, I know. I should just ignore it!) I much prefer having just the plain battery icon up there, but it'd still nice to be able to check the percentage every now and then when I really need to. Having the battery widget all the time would be perfect for that...any ideas if this is now possible?

As a potential alternative, there are likely some third party apps that are battery related or general widget related that likely have a battery widget. I recall coming across one or two in the past, but can't quite recall them off-hand at the moment (I'll see if I can find them again and/or perhaps someone else that comes across this might know of some and can share).

If you do a search for battery management apps you should be able to find some with widgets that show the battery info all the time. Not sure if they are working correctly in beta 7, but in previous betas they were broken. The apps might require an update from the developer before they can work correctly with iOS 10.
