Tell us your iPhone Journey.

Mine:

4S black 64gb - 2012-2016 (4 years) - upgrade to 6s to get the last iPhone with headphone jack

6S Space Grey 128gb - 2016-2022 (6 years) - upgrade to 13 mini due to no more iOS update for 6s, 6s starts feeling sluggish on iOS15, & not interested on bigger phones. (interested on Pro camera but not interested on bigger size + weight)

13 Mini red 512gb - 2022 - we'll see how long this one will last 😁

I know I've gotten Max since XS Max, and I think I did either regular or S between 3 and 8. Did Pluses since it started with the 6. I know I skipped 7 because I was upset they had already ended Jet Black with the 8. And I didn't do X

8 was the biggest redhead step child of a release with the iPhone x that year for sure!

I remember the keynote in 2007 Macworld and seeing some iPhones out and about, couldn’t get one because I had sprint and getting with ATT was complicated 2007/2008, I ended up switching to Att with the iPhone 3G, then it broke and managed to use an iPod touch for a while until the IPhone 4s, then it was the usually two year cycle of iPhone 5s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone 12 Pro and the 14 pro 😭
 
3G > 4S > 5 > 6+ > X >12 Pro > 14 Pro.

Looking back, the 6 series was the worst iPhone I've ever used. Can't believe I put up with the memory and constant safari refreshing issues for 3 years. All of my phones have been white/silver since the X. The 4 was an incredible design at the time and the 12 Pro improves upon it beautifully. Best looking phone to date imo.

iPhone 4 32gb (got it once the 4S came out. Second hand ebay gift from my dad) [3 years of usage]

iPhone 6 64gb (first iphone I bought on launch) [2 years of usage]

iPhone 6S 64Gb (bought this one right before the iPhone 7 was gonna come out. Heard the rumors the headphone jack was going away so I upgraded to the 6S. Also made money upgrading. Sold the 6 for $450. Bought the 6S for $420 on ebay) [2 years of usage]

iPhone X 256gb (Bought this one after the XS came out. Also second hand) [1 year of usage]

iPhone XS 256gb (short lived because I decided a few weeks later to try out the XS Max size atleast till I upgraded next to see if I could deal with the size. Got this one right before the iPhone 11 launch. Also second hand) [couple of weeks of usage]

iPhone XS Max 256gb (One of the best iPhones i’ve ever had. Got used to the max size iPhone within a month and can’t go back anymore. I can’t believe I used to be a Plus/Max/Phablet phone hater since the iPhone 6. also second hand) [2 years of usage]

iPhone 13 Pro Max 256gb (First iPhone I got brand new and on launch since the iPhone 6. Battery life continues to blow me away. My XS Max would last from 9am till 6pm and had to charge. This 13 Pro Max, I go to bed at midnight with 50-60% left with the same usage. Absolutely insane. Also camera is amazing. Love the ultrawide)

I was debating getting the 14 Pro Max since it would only be $200 to upgrade. but decided against it. Battery about the same or some cases worse. and the dynamic island kinda lost interest on me. also don’t like how it cuts into 18:9 content. I’ll probably upgrade when the 15 Ultra comes out.

I'm tempted to get 12 pro pacific blue because of the design n color.

iPhone 5 Silver (32 GB) - July 2013 - Sept 2015 - traded in the iPhone 5 to Verizon
iPhone 6S Silver (64 GB) - Sept 2015 - Sept 2018 - did not trade the 6S in and ended up giving to my daughter
iPhone Xs Gold (256 GB) - Sept 2018 - Sept 2021 - traded the Xs into Verizon
iPhone 13 Mini Blue (256 GB) - Sept 2021 - still using!!! Best of the 4 phones, so far.
 
Started with the iPhone 6 64 Gold,
coming from Google Nexus 5.
Then upgraded to 6S Plus 128 Space Grey.
Then 8 Plus 64 Space Grey.
Upgraded to Xs 64 Silver, but I wanted a bigger screen so I upgraded very fast to the Xs Max 256 Gold.
And then to the 12 Pro Max 128 Pacific Blue.

Only missing the 2G and 3G. And the 8 I guess but I don’t really count it as a miss since it came out with the X.
