May 2016 - iPhone 5 [pre-owned]
2016-2019 - iPhone 4, 4s, 5c, 5s [all pre-owned] [not necessarily in that order, don't remember]
2018/2019 - iPhone SE 2016 [pre-owned]
2019 - iPhone 6s [pre-owned] [traded the iPhone SE to get this]
Nov 2020 - iPhone 7 Plus [brand new, never been activated]

The only ones I still have with me - iPhone 7 Plus [primary], iPhone 6s [digitizer and display needs to be replaced, faulty/defective but still works, backup], 2 iPhone 4s [iOS 8.4.1, spare phone but rarely used nowadays], iPhone 4 [iOS 7.1.2, the one I used to create a username for Spotify when Spotify no longer allows a custom/personal username on their latest version and website back in 2019, also rarely used nowadays]

Not iPhone but I have with me iPod touch 4, 5, 6, iPad 2, iPad 6, iPad 9 [brand new, the rest are pre-owned]

I also used to own a pre-owned iPad 3 and iPad 4... I traded the iPad 3 for an android device... I gave my iPad 4 to my grandmother... Facebook and Messenger still works on iOS 10.3.3 not sure for how long...

GOOD MORNING!

I love seeing everyone stepping up to the Pro lineup. There really is nothing else like a Pro iPhone, they just exude our exemplary quality that we at Apple strive for. They also have great profit margins but that's neither here nor there. Buy buy buy!

OG iPhone 8gb (2017; returned and waited for higher storage)
OG iPhone 16gb (early 2008 when they updated storage)

5 (2012) Black (or whatever they called it)

X (2017) Black
11 Pro Max (2019) Midnight Green
12 Pro Max (2020) Pacific Blue
14 Pro Max (2022) Space Black

The iPhone 4 and the X are still the most beautiful smartphones ever made. Midnight Green is by far my favorite color they’ve ever made although Pacific Blue is a close runner up. I don’t think I can bare to trade my 12PM in Pacific Blue in. Keeping it for the archives. 14PM is the best black offered since the X but boring as hell.

My iPhone journey:
iPhone 3G as a iPod Touch. (Around 2011)
iPhone 8. (July-December 2019)
That's it.
Full disclosure: I'm an Android user.

3GS -> 13 Pro

What can I say I look after my stuff… oh and the camera is way better.
Was 3GS your only phone? If it is, Wow. The reason why I was able to keep 6s for 6 years is because of LTE compatibility and iOS support. I don't think I'll be able to keep my 4s (still have it & still work) as long as your 3GS.

3G, stood in queue to be one of the first in Sweden to have an iPhone, at least sold via official channels (the first iPhone was never offered in Sweden).

3GS, queue again, got a white one!

4 and 4S, no more queuing.

Then I dabbled with Android phones for two years until I got an 8.

And then X, XS, 13 Pro!

iPhone 5s - May of 2014 (first iPhone)
iPhone 6s - July of 2016
iPhone 11 Pro - January of 2020 (current iPhone)

Nice to see everyone’s history on here.

Edited my post:

5s was 16gb
6s was 64gb
11 Pro is 256gb

Will possibly eventually upgrade to 512gb. Hoping to keep my 11 Pro for a long time though.

iPhone 5S
My first-ever smartphone (yeah, I was late to the party). Bought on a launch day in 2013. Still remember being mesmerised by this thing of beauty. Upgraded when it became really sluggish and virtually unusable.

iPhone X
Bought in January of 2018, as soon as it became available (do you remember the mess of waiting for this phone?). Upgraded to 12 Pro Max both for the size and design (the reminiscent of 4S).

iPhone 12 Pro Max
Again, bought it on a launch day and use it now. I’ve found out that I’m geeky when it comes to the personal tech and attracted to the shiny and latest stuff, but try to curb my enthusiasm and be reasonable about it. I’d like to see how Ultra turns out next year and perhaps upgrade based on the features that I really need rather than the ones I was persuaded I need.

No joke, I actually had a Motorola ROKR 😎

iPhone 2007 and memory bumped version: Went swimming with original in my pocket right before the upgrade came out. Duh.

iPhone 3G: Rounded back took getting used to, scratch magnet. Downloaded Apps like they were the cure for cancer. Also went and dropped that one in a toilet right before the 3GS came out. Mercy.

3GS

4: My first true love. Antennagate…Retina Diplay…Gizmodo… Such drama!

4S: never really bonded with Siri

5: Liked the lightning connector, didn’t love the taller shape. Chamfered edges. Cool.

5S: All about the touch ID

6 and 6 Plus: Conflicted, loved the bigger screen on the plus but loved holding the smaller one. Still haven’t quite resolved that. ApplePay!

6S Plus: Resigned to stick with bigger size

7 Plus: Jet black my favorite color of all the phones 🤤. Portrait mode was impressive. Wait, there was a headphone jack?

X: Trophy wife of iPhones! Notch rules.

XS Max: Bigger is still better.

11 Pro Max

12 Pro Max

13 Pro Max: (11-13 were all solid phones but honestly they bleed together in my memory) Game changing battery life on the 13 though.

14 Pro Max: (Black is back!) Really love the camera for the first time, and love the Dynamic Island and always on display. Solid upgrade.

- 2G (1st iPhone)
- 4 (felt like a generational leap with the Retina display at the time)
- 5 (best design in an iPhone, IMO)
- 6 Plus
- X
- 12 Pro Max (sold it because it was too big und bulky to hold)
- 13 Pro
- 14 Pro (definitely not a necessary upgrade, I just wanted it…)

4-5s-8(broke that)-SE2

I liked the design of the 5s most. Nice looking and the right size to put in a pocket or use with one hand. Next one is probably going to be a 13 mini but they are still too expensive in the EU and that SE2 is still working flawlessly.

I forgot the 3GS came in white — do you still have it? I still have mine in black, but the screen is cracked and I’m not sure if the screen is even replaceable.
