I don’t think support is open yet, nobody has stated they called.
Yep, so everyone must have have seen their “on hold” notation overnight.

What’s really silly is that Apple just didn’t send out another email with details. Would be better for them rather than receiving all the calls.

I’ll call in 20 minutes when the call center is open and report back here.

UPS still says delivery Friday.
My guess is Apple placed phone deliveries on hold so that any that arrive at local UPS locations aren't delivered today. Apple will release hold tomorrow so they all go out on the same day.. just a thought.

My watch order doesn't show On Hold though, seems to be specific to the phone.

I hope you are right but not seeing anything from the others that already are showing their phones in the US. They are not reporting this “on hold” notation. Unfortunately, it seems to be just this group in Korea.

Another possibility is a mechanical problem with a plane. We’ll find out when customer support opens.

My order was held (or cancelled?) without notice because I changed address to local UPS store because I wouldn't be home. Got 2 emails this morning saying package is on the way, UPS says "package is on the way" but Apple.com says "CANNOT BE DELIVERED" and I should call but got NO NOTIFICATION of that. Never would have seen it had I not gone online to place a different order. Package still sitting in Korea. Now I have to deal with the phone queues to see what is going on. Not sure who I should call. Apple or UPS.

My fault for changing pickup address through MYUPS but then the shouldn't allow it. The DO NOT allow "deliver to a different address" but they DO ALLOW to pick up at another UPS location which obviously caused the problem.

I am unable to cancel the delivery change on MYUPS.

There was no problem doing that with the IPHONE X last year.

Can someone share the screenshot of the "On hold" message, I checked the Apple app and site, and don't see that message. My package is still in Korea so I was just wondering if I'm in the same situation as y'all. On the Apple site, I do see the following message, "Address Corrected. The carrier has updated your address and your item is on the way. Please use the "Track shipment" link for more information."

I did change my package to hold for pickup btw.

Same situation here...on hold and last track in South Korea, but delivery still estimated on Friday. I think it has to do with the UPS service that moves between a freight forwarder to local UPS for delivery.

Here you go. Only shows this on Apple.com.

Add me to the list. On Hold, last scan in Incheon, Korea. Apple says to call them but UPS is saying it’ll be delivered tomorrow. I don’t really feel like calling them so I guess I’ll all see what happens tomorrow.

Spent close to 20 minutes on hold with the rep from Apple. All for nothing. She was extremely nice but had no idea about the “on hold” message. She said that it happens sometimes and that I should see an update within a few hours. If not, I could call back again.

I really don’t understand why Apple would tell people to call them if they are not willing or able to provide any information. And the rep truly had no idea what I was talking about. She had to put me on hold twice. You would think that due to the onslaught of calls they will be receiving, they would have been sent out a bulletin with what to say.

If anyone else gets a rep with more information, please share.

I have a feeling you could call 20 different reps and you’d get 20 different answers. :p

Just not a good way to do business. I know, I know - won’t make any difference to Apple while the money keeps rolling in. They obviously do a great job training their reps as they are always super friendly and empathetic. But give them what they need to do their job and be able to handle days like these.

I’m sure Apple knows exactly the status of the shipment showing in Korea. If it is still on schedule for delivery on Friday, then why wouldn’t they say that the “on hold” message was in error. But the rep wouldn’t provide any information either way.

I got mine too, but ugh I wish my Watch was coming Friday as well :(

I have to wait 2 weeks.
Me too. Phone tomorrow from Verizon then watch 2-3 wks later. Although I suspect it'll be much sooner as they always give you a date much later than it actually ships.

I called UPS. The "Hold" status with shipper is just to ensure it is not delivered prior to Friday. It is still on track for Friday delivery.

I don’t have a “Hold” status with UPS, only on the Apple website.
Same here. On the Apple website it says there is an issue with the delivery and carrier is unable to deliver the package. I called the carrier and there is no issue. Apple places "Shipment on Hold" with the carrier to ensure they are not delivered prior to launch date. This goes back to iPhone 4s that were delivered early.

That’s good to hear. Is your carrier also UPS?

Yeah, I’m hoping that’s all it is. I was one of the lucky ones that got my 4s a day early.
