Hello,
I know the question of fast transfer speeds with iPads has been discussed at various places on the internet and on this forum. But I only found discussions about file transfer using that Lightning-to-USB3-adapter where the iPad is the host.
Can any of you developers confirm that there...

Hello,
I am a web and mobile developer, I work most of the time on Visual Code on web projects (JS, Node, Ruby...) and I also work from time to time on cross platforms mobile projects with Xcode and Android Studio with tools like Flutter, React Native or Native Script...

FYI, just upgraded to 10.2, then while going thru the normal process to Verify before Dist:
1.) This bundle is invalid.
2.) Apple is NOT currently accepting apps built with this version of Xcode.
Never seen this before.
Anybody ???
Hey,
I have developed an app that uses a lot of sliced images for it's UI.
Since the Mojave release my app looks horrible because the images displayed not as they should, and i do not have any other way to bypass the problem. I have to use the images as 9 patches.
The thing is, that no one...
There are many ways to emulate a PowerPC Tiger system on modern Intel systems, but virtualization options for (Intel) Tiger are few and far between. VMware Fusion *can* run the Intel version of Tiger Server if you can tame it (10.5 Server was the first officially supported virtualized Mac OS X)...
So I created a very simple dice rolling app. Yes, this is my first app. I also have an Apple Developer Account and I am ready to upload the App to the App Store. In the application process it asks for a URL to my privacy policy. How do I create a privacy policy? My App does not take any...
Hello everyone,
I'm thinking of buying a MBP base model for Swift programming, and I know that Xcode has a simulator for the touch-bar, but do I need the one with actual touchID hardware if I want my app to require a biometrical login? or is there a way to debug and test it without needing it...
I currently have the i7/128gb/8gb. Curious what difference the i7 makes versus the i5 for compiling given the slower disk IO in the 128gb.
Have been testing with the standardised test here: https://github.com/ashfurrow/xcode-hardware-performance
I achieve an average fresh build time of 33s...
Hey I am 17 years of age and in 4 months will turn 18. I have created some simple apps already. I want to publish these apps in the App Store now. I searched online and the legal age to create your own Apple Developer Account is 18. However, if I lie my age and put 18 or 19, and upload apps to...
I use my Mac for S/W development and use git as my version control tool. I have never wanted/needed X-code in the past so never installed it. I recently upgraded to Mojave and noticed my git no longer works. The error "missing xcrun at: /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/usr/bin/xcrun" appears...
Hi,
I do a lot of dev work (Xojo, Ruby, Swift) with my 2.8Ghz i7 16GB 15" 2017 MacBook Pro. I have recently started working full time for myself so I now tend to use the notebook in clamshell mode hooked up to a nice 4K LG monitor that I like.
I'm thinking of switching from a notebook to a...

For me its fine because im on a MacBook Pro 2014
But has anyone on an older iMac 2011-2012 see any optimization? My other colleagues are a bit nervous to update Xcode and have it crawl.
Xcode 8 to Xcode 9 saw a significant decrease in performance on older Macs.
Hello everybody,

Does the UDID ever change?
I thought this was a unique # but I did read that the UDID is interchangeable just like a Computer's MAC address, based on the logic apple currently applies to get the UDID#.
My iPad UDID definitely changed as I didn't purchase a new iPad, I was using this as a...
