i have it right there. fresh install to new partition.

ahhh SL partition. that would do it.

it would be nice if under the icon spotlight showed you what partition the app was from (if it wasnt in the standard place i mean). so that iSync should say "disk name/applications" or something.

Another thing it's built into Mac os X now, you can navigate the options pressing the tab key, also another hint, almost always there is an alert windows with options like accept or cancel if you hit enter you select accept, and if you hit the spacebar you select cancel!.

In some apps like Photoshop you can select the "Don't save" option by pressing the key D.

Bottom line, enter selects the highlighted button and spacebar selects the border highlighted one, check this example :

That has been there since Mac OS X 10.3 at least, maybe even earlier, but I haven't had that much experience with 10.2.8 and earlier versions.

To enable that feature:

But if Snow Leopard had iSync, and I upgraded SL to Lion, then why wouldn't it be there in 10.7?

i believe, because you upgraded - the installer MAY have deleted it, knowing that support is being dropped from Apples end. (i.e. the installer specifically searches for it).

because jugih used a completely new disk/partition, it wasnt searching for the application to delete.

maybe..?

Does anyone know how to get the file paths showing at the bottom of each finder window?
Might have been an option somewhere in SL but can't find anything related to it.

Also just noticed the little pill button that removed the sidebar in finder, hide the controls in preview etc has gone, presumably has been replaced by full screen.

From this image Engadget posted that looks like it was taken from Apple.com, shows that you can rename Spaces in Mission Control.

finder -> view -> show path bar

*feels mildly stupid*
thanks :)

Just realised pinch to zoom no longer resizes icons in finder, including the desktop. Personally I couldn't be happier they've done away with this, too many times I accidentally ruined my perfectly crafted desktop with an errant gesture.

No, it doesn't. Desktop is Space 1 and has not been renamed. If you full-screen an app, it's space is named after that app.

You're correct about currently not being able to rename a space (or Desktop? Please be consistent, Apple.) But I think that's coming in a later build.

The syncing menu bar icon is still there, as is MobileMe. I just don't appear to physically have the iSync application, despite doing a direct upgrade from Snow Leopard 10.6.6.

So I checked the "apply to all controls" under keyboard shortcut, hit "log out" on the apple menu. Hit space bar, get error sound. Use tab, nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong?

I don't know if it has been mention before, but now, in safari 5.1, if you open a new tab using command-click, the new one opens next to the main one, and not at the end of the tabs row. So now it works as it does in chrome.

I liked it better the old way, and it seems there is no preference to revert to the old behavior.

Is this what you're talking about ?

If it is, then SL does it already !
