In DP4, purge is finally usable again but now requires the use of sudo.

Ruby was updated to 2.0.0p247

Zsh has been updated to 5.0.2 :)eek:!) (Not sure if this is just DP4)

Perl was updated to 5.16.2 too!

I asked earlier before the other tools were updated but now there might have been some progress so can I get the version numbers of bash, postgres, emacs, php, apache and screen please?

Time Machine

Time Machine, despite having a new icon to show when it's running, doesn't seem to be backing up hourly like it should.

Is anyone else experiencing this in DP4?

Bash is still at 3.2.51
Not sure if postgres is included with OS X.
emacs: 22.1.1
php: 5.4.17
apache: 2.2.24
screen: 4.00.3

Thanks, in 10.7-10.8 postgres is located at /usr/bin/postgres_real might be the same in mavericks. A shame they refuse to update screen or emacs.

Yeah I checked in /usr/bin but couldn't find postgres_real.

You can use homebrew to install it anyways.

I know you can (or Postgres.app which is even easier) I just figured it'd be around since it was there for two releases. I guess that's a little thing in and of itself.

I thought I was the only one! The only permanent way I found to get rid of it was to delete iWork, reinstall them from the iWork 09 disk and then reinstall the updates.

This was a DP3 issue. Update to DP4 to get rid of iWork update request.

Estimated file sizes are back when exporting as JPEG from preview. I think this is new - not sure though (was there certainly in 10.7 and 8)

Where is purge located now? I am guessing it's part of either Xcode 5 DP4 or command line utility that cannot be downloaded due to ADC being down.

Yes, i named my partition Mavericks HD.

The font has not changed it is still Lucida Grande.

Speaking of Licida Grande, anyway to correct this error that appears to be related to Parallels?

7/23/13 7:32:33.164 AM prl_client_app[1842]: CoreText performance note: Client called CTFontCreateWithName() using name "Lucida Grande" and got font with PostScript name "LucidaGrande". For best performance, only use PostScript names when calling this API.
?

Report it to parallels, this is not the support thread for third party apps.

Why did Apple go back with the old Lion scrollbars?

I liked how the scroll bars expanded when you moused over (in ML).

Mountain Lion does this really annoying thing when you're looking at a two-dimensional grid that scrolls horizontally and vertically (e.g. the list view in Finder, or editing a database table in Navicat).

If you try to edit the item right at the bottom of the window, the scroll bar pops up and covers what you're typing.

In mavericks the scroll bars no longer expand with "show scroll bars when scrolling" checked. :(

What do you mean by this? They still expand as long as you have your cursor over the area where the bar would be before you start scrolling.

In Ml the scrollbars would expand when you hovered over them. I guess i missed this new way, kinda dumb oh well.
