So, I had sold my 11” iPad Pro and bought a 1TB 12.9” cellular iPad Pro. I was excited to try the 12.9” larger pro model, until the seller backed out.

So, I ended up buying a 11” 1TB lol cellular model in silver.

So, whatever..I tried, it just didn’t work out getting a 1tb 12.9”

So my new 11” will be here Monday a new color too, and a (x16) times more storage space than my 64GB model, and 50% more RAM too.

I’m excited! And I’m still routing for 11” ! Haha

Any of y’all have the PaperLike screen protector on either your 11 OR 12.9s?

(And no I’m not affiliated with them in ANY way. Not a reviewer nor do i work for them)

Felt like I had to say that as it seems every review i read they are pretty positive and GIVEN the thing to review.

I’ve been considering the Paperlike protector, but the reviews on Amazon are mixed. Those who don’t like it say that the installation is not easy, and the screen clarity suffers considerably. Still thinking about it...

Just upgraded from a used 64GB 11” to a brand new 1TB 11” model! Loving the space, and really loving the silver color too!

As for size goes, 12.9” and 11” are hit or miss for me. I’d have taken either or.

Just wondering.... what cases did you guys pick up for the 11” or 12.9” models?

My previous set up.. I had the 2nd gen iPP and a leather dBrand on the back. I had used the Apple Smart Cover, I didn’t care to to have a case covering the back.

Now, i was planning on doing the same set up... until I realized that the Smart Folio Cases actually cover up the back too. And looking at the prices for the 12.9 3rd gen iPP... no way I was paying 100 bucks for it.

Looked at Amazon offerings... and bought one as similar to what Apple makes for 20 bucks.

I bought the same case! It is a Apple smart folio “Replica” lol. All the reviews on Amazon say “they cannot tell the difference between this Ztotop folio, and a apple branded $80 dollar smart folio”

Best $25 bucks I’ve ever spent. No branding, and very nice quality. Strong magnets, front panel easily magnetized even with a thick 9H glass screen protector.

Here’s the model type, and pic of box for anyone interested. Almost every review of this case, the buyer returned there apple smart folio, and kept the cheap replica instead.

Well worth it for sure!

I have this or something darn close to it. Whatever I bought from Amazon, I think it was under $15, but it’s great.

I have struggled with whether or not to go with the keyboard folio, because I absolutely LOVED my ASK for my first 2 12.9s. I just don’t love the new folios and the way they fold like I did the ASK.

For now mine is in the case all the time, but when it’s on my desk, I just flip the cover back and put it in the stand and use my full-size Omoton (cheap) bluetooth keyboard.

When I need to take my iPP with me, I can flip the case cover closed and throw it in my purse. Best of both worlds.

I can see people buying the Apple folio keyboard, if they require a keyboard. But, the standard apple smart folio is just too expensive for what it offers. Honestly I think the keyboard folio should be like $139/$159 for 11” and 12.9” and the Apple Pencil should be more like $79.99

Absolutely nothing wrong with buying generic cases and accessories though.

Next month foldable phones will be available. Wonder if it will affect the sales of the smaller iPad Pro. Good thing is that Apple has stopped selling 9.7” iPad Pro.

Meh, they're too new and "techy" - nevermind the screens are made of plastic. Plus they're like $1500-$2000, not really catering to the group that would buy the lower-cost 9.7" iPad Pro.

Where the 11” iPad excels for me is as an ultra portable machine. I can throw the 11” with keyboard folio in my rucksack and hardly notice its there.

FWIW, I really like using the keyboard folio, my only complaint is the lack of media control keys on there.

I got the 12.9” Ipad with 256gb of storage. Most of my usage is Notability, Procreate and Netflix. I have a origami case from pipetto it has some unique stands but it does not hold the pencil well so it is a bummer.
The Ipad with the case and the pencil weights around 970g.

Haven't owned an iPad in quite some time.
Was on a flight and saw someone using the 12.9" (which I thought was the 11"). Ordered the 11", went to the Apple Store and cancelled and ordered the 12.9" almost immediately after seeing. Fullsize folio keyboard, massive beautiful display, incredibly light and the very real possibility of being a MacBook pro replacement (own a 13" now). Wasn't difficult or uncomfortable to hold. Felt like a truly new product category. Wasn't a fan of the pen in the past but the pencil is like the counterpart of a traditional mouse or trackpad. Just a really stunning product that brought me back into the iPad world. I do hope iOS 13 makes better use of all the horsepower the new iPads have to offer - so much potential.

11” 1TB cellular model is my ultimate mini beast! plenty big for me. It is a processing monster when it comes to Adobe Rush, and multitasking with games and applications. I’ve utilized just over 5GB of the 6GB of ram in some cases. It is a little tank for sure.

iOS 13 will only make these iPads better and better. I can’t wait until it releases.
[doublepost=1552861334][/doublepost]Wow the 11” vs 12.9” poll has never been so close.

I think the 11 is better. I originally got the 12.9 because I wanted the bigger screen (I had the 10.5 pro). At home I use the iPad on the couch, for media consumption, chats and email. I was especially enticed by the notion of reading full scale comic pages without the need to magnify them. At work all I need is a writing device, where I can keep all my notes, so the iPad+ Apple magic keyboard worked great for that.

When I first got the new 12.9 I was really excited about the screen. Everything was bigger and beautiful. It also helped me at work, since I could see much more of each document. However I noticed that I didn't feel comfortable using it in the hand. Holding it vertically is uncomfortable since the device is too tall, so it feels unbalanced. Plus it is too much screen (if that makes sense). To balance it I leaned it on my lap or knees, which made the bottom of the screen unreadable, so instead of looking at full big pages on the internet or in books, I just scrolled pages with my finger. Using it for comics was also not so helpful because even at the size of the screen, because of the comic aspect ratio, it didn’t fill the screen, so I ended up zooming anyway. Eventually I jst started to hold it horizontally all the time, so all the benefits of the big screen were lost on me.

I sold the 12.9 ipad and ordered the 11. I know it will shrink some page viewing when I try to work from it, but I can finally return to using the ipad as an ipad when I want too

I was on the 9.7” iPad Pro for a few years, as I found the original 12.9” was just way to big and unwieldy for my use cases. However, with the redesign of the 3rd generation 12.9” iPad Pro, and its smaller footprint, it has been a pleasure to use. Very happy with my choice .

11" still the way to go if you want to have 90% chances no bend ipad pro
the foldable smartphones, are new, and have a lot of issues even before the release
I think in 4-5 years will have some mature foldable smartphones (if they will not drop the idea until then)

Wait what ? Do you mean to say Bent iPad Pro is more possible in case of 12.9" and not 11" ?? In majority of the cases it is the 11" iPP that people have reported the bent iPad's with !

yes, 12.9" LTE has the highest rate to be bent from factory or to be easy bent in time, physics help for that
The 11" wifi only is the strongest

I think, and from what I have seen, even 11" LTE have been equally reported as Bent !!

I wouldn’t go by that thread with a “Voting” option on which models are bent, I’ve handled about ten 11” models, not including the ones I’ve owned. And none of them were bent. Just the 12.9” models are not bent either.

Although, it is pretty straight forward, especially from a durability standpoint. The 12.9” iPad Pro is nearly 40% heavier, longer, wider, it is just as thin as the 11” iPad Pro. Only the 12.9” is going to naturally be more fragile.

I’m sorry but the 12.9” just feels much more fragile than a 11”

Not that I care that much, as I’d own either one..

I have a "problem" and I hope you can help me with this: I just cannot decide me between the 11" and the 12.9".
The iPad should be just for media consumption and maybe for reading PDF papers and books. Actually, I'm comfortable with both, just I think that the 11" could be a bit (too) small for watching videos; on the other side, the 12.9" could be a bit (too) big for "couch media consumption" and for travel with a macbook. Is it just my feeling that I'm more willing to use the 11" "on-the-fly" than the 12.9"?!
