What about the new keyboard weight? We really need more details about it in general.the reports have shown that the new 2020 ipads are around 10 grams heavier
probably due to the camera internals.

Fortunately, this poll can’t help anyone make a decision, at 697 (12.9”) to 693 (11”) haha.don't be persuaded by a poll
DILEMMA!!!! I have iPad 6. Not sure which size to get! I only use iPad for excel, emails, web surfing, or whatever. I have work laptop which is window.
Ugh. . . need to make a decision. And this thread is not helping. Have an iPad Air 2, 32GB. It's getting long in the tooth and the storage is too small. So, trying to decide between the iPP 11" v 12.9" 256GB. Current usage is not at the desk since I have a 2017 27" iMac as a primary computing device. My wife suggest the 12.9. I'm leaning 11" since I would generally not be using it at a desk. But from many of the comments, it appears that people like the 11" but they love the 12.9" Just not sure that I want a device that big. ?
If I can only keep one iPad, I'd go 11" for the simple fact that the 2018 12.9" wouldn't fit in my purses. Despite the bezel reduction, it's still pretty big.Ugh. . . need to make a decision. In your use case I think the 11” would be perfect. Still small enough to use one handed, and you can fall back to your desktop when you need to.Ugh. . . need to make a decision. I have a 2018 11 inch model that I really like for travel and just ordered the new 12.9 inch and will use that less for travel.I went with the 11 inch. I was hoping for a significant drop in weight for the 12.9, but it's apparently the same. The price is just too high and I like the extreme mobility of the 11. I could easily see myself having both one day. One for desk use, and one for mobile.
This! The best, simplest opinion I've seen. The only thing I would add:Here is my 2 cents:
-If you don't have a computer and want to use your iPad as a computer replacement (not the brightest idea IMO), go for the 12.9
-If your iPad is a complement to your computer, go for the 11"
This is what I’m thinking of doing, even tho it’s kind of overkill . My thought is get a refurb 2018 or 2020 11” to replace my mini . And when this rumoured 12.9 mini led iPad Pro is released and replace my 2016 NTB MacBook Pro with itI have a 2018 11 inch model that I really like for travel and just ordered the new 12.9 inch and will use that less for travel.

I'm happy with my 11 inch. If I used my iPP more for computer functions, then the 12.9 would probably be my first choice, but compared with my iPP, the 12.9 felt a little superfluous. However, if I decided to pick up another iPP, I think I'd go for the 2018 version and save a few hundred dollars.

That's basically what I have. I have a 27 inch iMac, a 15 in MBP (I use this for work now) and then iPad mini, 11 inch Pro and now will get the new 12.9 pro. I will probably give my old pro to my wife. This is what I’m thinking of doing, even tho it’s kind of overkill . My thought is get a refurb 2018 or 2020 11” to replace my mini .
